I just received the RMS2002 for my 1967 coronet. I attached the spindle to the upper control arm and torque down the castle nut to 55ft lbs. The castle nut is well above the hole for the cotter pin to interlock into. I currently have added a washer but still am too far off. Do I need to add more...
I posted the same question in 4 forums and asked if The PST 1.03"torsion bars were any good and i received 1 reply saying they were garbage send them back and another saying they worked great. I guess not many have tried the PST torsion bars (Only 2 people), the only way i can find out for sure...
Going to put tubular control arms on the 67 coronet.
I am looking at the RMS (2002)which are adjustable or the non adjustable magnum force. Anyone with recommendations? Both of these units are priced equally.
How can i tell if the pitman arm is bad. The ball joint end is easily moved with 2 fingers. Seems like a joy stick.:happy7:
Anyone have a part number for this?
Torsion bar twist
Purchased new PST 1.03dia. torsion bars. Sitting next to the old torsion bars, there is a visable twist in the old torsion bars.(One end 90° out from the other end)
There doesn't appear to be any visable twist on the new ones, although each is marked as to what side of...
I am rebuilding the complete front end and the upper ball joint head at least on drivers side (Haven't gotten to the passenger side yet) appears to have been stripped out whenever it had ben installed. I have the 1 59/64" ball joint socket and tried to lightly tap it on the ball joint but the...
Looking to replace my master cylinder on the 67 coronet with Manual Drum/Drum and want to get one with the clip on top. I have ordered the raybestos mc36221 and the bendix 11323 from rock auto as both have photos showing clip on tops and i was assured these were the actual ones. I have them here...
The drums are different than what is shown at rock auto. The service manual doesn't show these parts either. Do the race housings get pressed off and put on the new drum? It appears i have a bad seal as well. The race housing on the passenger side is loose so when mounted on the shaft the drum...
Hi
Have been dealing with a number of issues that keep arising on the 67 coronet.10.5" drum Brakes are pulling hard enough to left to force you into oncoming traffic.(Took apart and star wheel was frozen. Corrected and seemed good for about a week. (Will do a full rebuild this winter)
I also...
On my way to work today-a couple of miles down the road the Cnet developed a resonating sound. As throttle was increased so did the resonating. The sound continued to get worse and quickly turned into a shudder in the whole vehicle. (@30mph).
The shudder in a short time became a violent...
I have a 67 coronet 500 and a previous owner bent in the fender lips (Rear) to fit larger tires in the past. Currently running P215/75R-14.
I was hoping to get rims that are 15x8x4.5 BS and place a P275/50-15 tire. Does anyone know if this combo will work?
I want to put a set of SS springs on the coronet. Call me ignorant but i can't find any instructions on the installation. I do know they will require new hangers. Anyone already go through this exercise?
I am looking to upgrade my master cylinder on the 1967 coronet, manual brakes (Drum/Drum). Has anyone done this and will a MC from a 70-75 B-body work?
Looking to get away from the bolt on top.
