The bolt head sat inside the track and the nut is under the seat frame, below the cushion. I haven't messed with the carriage bolts that go through the body of the car. That's next. I should've taken more pictures.
I meant to take more and forgot. When I remove the seat again, I will. It's really straight forward. 1 1/4 inches is the best you'll do with drilling. The seat frame changes angles in the back and toward the front. It's next to impossible to go farther because of the spring and frame metal...
Relocated the brackets with 4 new holes 1 1/4 inches forward. Haven't decided whether I want to grind out the old "swaged" bolts, and use carriage bolts in the forward square holes yet. Leaning toward yes right now. It'll give me another 1 1/2 inches.
