I'm selling a set of re-chromed front and rear bumper guard stands WITHOUT rubber that I didn't use on the Road Runner project I completed a few years ago. These are show quality pieces at a great price! Three of the four stands have new mounting studs welded on and all have new flanged nuts...
I'm looking for a presentable reasonably priced RR trunklid emblem. It doesn't need to be perfect - just affordable, unlike the reproduction emblem. Thanks.
Yes, that's is helpful. I found some bumpers Dorman had that fit the holes in the valance and seemed like the right height. They look similar to what yours looks like. I went ahead and put the larger bumpers I got from classic Industries on the door under the license plate since they fit the...
Did 73 B-bodies have rubber bumpers on both the fuel filler door AND the lower rear valance under the fuel filler door? I ordered what was caller "license plate bumpers" and these clearly fit the 1/4" holes in the middle of the plate door (not the holes in the corners for the plastic push in...
I'm looking for a good two-speed wiper motor that will fit a 1973 Road Runner: one that moves the wipers back and forth (when turned on) as well as parking the wipers against the stops on the bottom of the windshield trim when they are turned off.
Yes, I have a factory service manual.
I got everything put back together and working, but the wipers still don't seem to be working right. They just go back and forth and won't park when i turn them off. They stop wherever they are on their stroke when I shut them off. All the other modern cars...
I finally figured out where it was after taking the linkage back off of the motor. I took the cam assembly apart and cleaned and re-greased it as it seemed to be all gummed up and not functioning well. Hopefully that will fix the problem without having to buy anything.
2-speed. I'll have to see if it has that cam, but the main link's end keys over a rectangular projection on the shaft (that the threads are on for the nut) that the link goes on so I'm thinking it does. I put the motor back on earlier in restoring the car, but if memory serves I just cleaned and...
Mine wiper blades won't drop down off of the glass when I turn them off. does that mean the motor is kaput? The wiring harness on the engine side is new, and I went thru all of the wiring on the passenger side to make sure it was okay.
On the '71-74 B-bodies are the windshield wipers supposed to stay above or ride on top of the large stainless trim at the bottom of the windshield at the bottom of their stroke? If you clock them so they stay above the trim piece they angle up pretty far onto the windshield when they are off...
Has anyone run across some generic rubber floor mats that are readily available at a reasonable price that fit the floors of '73-74 B-bodies? Classic Industries has a few sets to choose from but they are all over $120/set and say something like "Road Runner" or "Plymouth" on them which I'm sure...
I save the plugs that come in the fitting holes of power steering pumps when you buy them, so I think I'm just going to use one of them (if I have a size that fits).
The hardware store in my town just carries cork style rubber hole plugs.
It probably wouldn't hurt to just buy a bulk of rubber...
Seems they didn't make their way into stick shift cars for some reason. This car has 4-on-the-floor now, so whatever reason they were used on auto trans cars doesn't apply to it now anyway.
I'm planning to plug the large hole and fill the two smaller holes with seam sealer as mentioned above...
