Those fortunately actually look like ornaments. For years, there's been guys on eBay selling Christmas "ornaments" that are basically Hot Wheels cars with a screw-ring drilled into the roofs, but selling them for way more than the Hot Wheels cars cost. Lame scam.

I think the valve covers have a sheet metal baffle that is spot welded inside? Maybe one came lose and hits a rocker arm?
Or maybe a chattering PCV valve?
