Hello as I’m going through my 727 I noticed rub marks on the shell and on the welds of the front planet ring gear. The thrust washer looks like it’s never been touched! Is there different thickness 3 tang washers available? This one measures .062 and like I said it’s apparent it’s never made...
It wasn’t discussed honestly. It’s a stock forged crank ( I thought I had put that in my original post ) upgraded to the six pack pistons. I just asked for a full balance. It’s been a year since I picked it up so I can’t remember if it was discussed.
So the fact that they balanced the whole rotating assembly doesn’t make it internally balanced? Rods were shaved, areas of the crank were grinded, drilled and Heavy Metal was added to the rear counterweight.
Thanks for any clarification
I am currently building my 440 which I had the machine shop balance for me. It’s a forged crank and L2355 pistons My question is, what harmonic balancer should I use? Am I right in assuming it should be a Zero balance Balancer and any converter I use shouldn’t have any weights?? I intend to use...
I am working on a 1970 Coronet with a 440 and TTi headers. Any suggestions on how to shift the motor over to the passenger side a bit. I only have minimal clearance between the header and torsion bar on the drivers side. It’s got new mounts as well.
Looking for any intake manifold modification tips or tricks. Getting ready to build my 440. Freshened it up and had it balanced. Got a new set of Trick Flow 240's and a mild custom cam from Dwayne Porter, (if Comp ever gets is shipped out to me.) I'll be using a new Edelbrock manifold, decided...
It's a 2500 stall converter, I guess it could be a little more lose. You thinking it's just too much of a load? maybe I should just bring the idle speed up to see what it does
Hello, I am working with a 4150 style Quick Fuel 680 on an engine with a healthy cam, which I have jetted and tuned. Primary and secondary throttle openings are at a minimum and idles at 900. I didn't need to drill out the butterflies. 4 corner idle screws are 1-1/16 out. All my other A/F...
Good day, I’m hoping someone recognizes this cam number to help me identify it. Just pulled it out of a 440, solid flat tappet cam. Thanks for any help
I mean assemble, Yes machine work would be farmed out and to someone who's knowledgeable with the Hemi. I know there are several little mods that are done for improvements which I would want to take advantage of as well, in applicable for my use.
