I guess technically if you could work out how to hook the hoses to the AC evaporator coil it would sort of work but they are smaller lines and passages so heat output would probably be a little low.

Yes. They measured (obviously used) at 140# seated and 325# open. Since spring always lose a bit in the first few hundred miles, I'm guessing they would have been north of 150# seated when brand new.
Breaking pistons is common, but bending rods? It sounds like you are holding the rod, and you shouldn't touch the rod.
Lay the piston in press with the pin pointing up.

in a pinch would it technically work if you were to route the coolant lines into the ac lines if you werent ever going to use the ac anyway? asking for a friend:rolleyes:
