Most that remember me from my Charger build remember my sidekick daughter, she's always been a daddy's girl and just like her dad she had to have one so here it is. Once everything is prefitted it's getting stripped down to nothing and going on the rotisserie for a full rebuild.
The plan...
I know these threads have come and gone but doing a search I'm not finding much so I guess here it goes again.
I'm wanting to fix a few things on my Charger that I'm not happy with starting with the rear suspension. It drives great, sits the way I like but these springs are junk. I purchased...
It's been a rough year for the Charger, first my wife backed into it them I backed it into the Cruze:mad:.
Fortunately both in the same area with minor damage but since I wanted to bring to pipes through the valance nows the time. Just throwing ideas around but am leaning towards the new RAM...
I was a chicken when I originally built the car and put 285's on it fearing wider would rub but thanks to Goon letting me try on a pair I now have 305/35/19's on it. Wow what a difference, the 285's were flush with the beads and slightly rolled over on top, the extra width gave it the right...
So my priorities somehow got mixed up... added A/C, serpentine setup, stereo....this is all great and adds to the reliability, comfort and enjoyment but doesn't do a thing for going fast!! I've been looking to add some ponies to the Charger for awhile but do to my lower cruising rpms the normal...
I'll be bringing home a 72 Sattelite in the very near future for my daughter and want to start compiling pictures and idea's. Let's see some cool shots.
Not sure if she's going to go with bigger rims or 15's so I'm open to everything right now. It does have a RR hood and we'll likely do the...
I'm starting this thread hoping someone out there has found a mini starter that will work with the Quicktime RM8073 bellhousing. The papers that came with it clearly state use OEM starter, after 2 summers I think my headers have cooked it so the hunt is on.
The problem is that they've moved the...
Just received my SD Concepts serpentine kit today, been busting butt on the A/C install along with dual fans and all the wiring that comes with it while waiting on the kit so now it's time to finish it off. I couldn't help but head straight to the garage for a quick test fit to prepare myselffor...
I'm beginning to accept that my car will never be done... Goon and I have been tossing around the idea of ditching our leaves in favor of a 4 or 3 link but after thinking about it we thought a torque arm might be a good option. To me this is about the most positive way of eliminating axle wind...
Finally installing the long waited A/C which means time to sort out the pulley setup. After thinking about it I've decided that it makes no sense to stay with the v belts when serpentine is far superior so now the question is how? I'm considering making my own but having little time might just...
Thought someone might be interested in seeing this since it's a common eye sore on most Mopars. Super easy to make with 16 gauge steel and some good cardboard for stencils, took about 2 hrs.
Just thought I'd post my solution for cleaning up the vacuum mess along with getting rid of the expensive headlight switch. I'm not done yet so I'll attach pictures soon.
Here's what I'm doing, I've already converted the car to Halogens ran off of 2 relays. 1 relay triggers all 4 for highs...
As much as I like my side exit exhaust my car being lowered 2" and me being a country boy it just ain't working out so time for plan B. I don't like the idea of simply dropping 2 pipes under the valence so I'm looking for ideas.
I found this pic online and really like it, yes as much...
While at the Nats I stopped by HDK's tent to check out their product... very cool setup. This I'm assuming would be very affordable in comparison to others and looks like a nice alternative to a full front end swap. It basically reanforces the shock tower for the coil overs, adds another...
I don't know if you guys are getting the little American Powertrain message scrolling on your screen stating "no cutting of the floor" regarding to the TKO setup or not but I think it's our place to warn any would be buyer. My personal experience says this is an outright lie unless they've come...
