Despite the refence to incandescent bulbs on that flasher, I’m running those on several full LED conversions without issue. As I said, there are two-pronged electronic flashers that will work with LEDs without the need for a ground wire.
If there is a polarity issue, very easy to just swap the...
That is one dumbass strategy by lowe’s that could lead to lawsuit city. They should have put their supplier on notice to pick that crap up and reimburse them any purchase costs or expect a lawsuit from them.
THIS SET INCLUDES (4) LOW/HIGH BEAM HEADLIGHTS WITH HIGH INTENSITY LED LIGHT BULBS
You CAN buy multiple quantities of 4 for a discount, but one set of 4 is a $600 savings!
Or use the LED retro-fit replacement luminaries which draw LESS amperage than Halogen lamps, negating the use of SPST "cube relay" and wiring yet provide 2x the light output......even more light output than HID Xenon conversation.......just a little more research......
BOB RENTON
Today I continued work on my LED taillights and finally got one side's worth of LED panels built. Upon testing this panel (which would be the outside right light) it all worked well initially but then a few bulbs began to flicker, get dim and eventually go out. This was repeated until all of the...
Hi folks. My first project in my 68, was to ditch all the Led mini bulbs that dont work. Also have no blinkers. After replacing all bulbs and replacing flasher . I now have lights, brake lights , running lights front, sides, and back, but only rear turn signals front turn signals don’t work on...
I replaced my gauge board, harness, and went to ledbulbs. Every time I put my dash cluster into dash I smoke my headlight switch I mean boy does it get hot. I bypassed my amp meter and hooked up a ground under one of the board screws but still light switch gets hot.
If I leave it out of dash...
I didn’t even realize the RTE Limiter was missing the ground spade until I started hooking up wires within the dash
I installed the RTE when I replaced my dash bezel along with LED Dash Bulbs
To many things at once
Had to make my own ground spade and attached it to the mounting screw...
I installed them in a dash.. And They are actually better than the incandescent bulbs. Makes it nice and bright. Otherwise I hate LED lights because they hurt my eyes.
Makes sense! My car had ledbulbs in taillights and turn signals when I got it but it was flaky. Everything worked after I put in a new led flasher and grounded the flasher. I had to switch flasher polarity as well.
You don't need a relay for LEDs they draw less than stock bulbs, you do need a resistor if you have hidden headlights. The h4 bulbs plug right into your existing harness. Your selections look good.
I have had mine for 4 years 0 issues. H4 housings with an Led h4 bulb
With a 3 volt rating, put 4 in series. This will give you 3 volts per LED with a supply voltage of 12 volts. For 20 ma, just use a 720 ohm resistor per 4-string. In the old days, the common resistor value jumped from 680 to 820 ohms. These days you can get resistors of just about any value...
Appreciate you sharing your thoughts and pointing out the positives with holleys but I bought Octanes 6-7 years ago and it was a plug and play with no surgery and there is/was quiet a few posts on different forums on the octanes back then being a plug and play and I’m pretty positive we have...
I'm not a fan of led headlights. Looks too artificial for our cars. Where I do like led lights are interior courtesy lights, dome lights, console lights. They make an led that has the same color as incandescent plus they do not get hot. I use to burn my leg on the console light...not any more...
I went with T8's florescence in my shop...but each 8' fixture runs 4' bulbs so I can easily convert them to LED. I will suggest it to you but have your lighting on multiple switched circuits so you don't have to have them all on every time you're in the shop. My shop is 32x48 with a flat...
I am posting to thread because no where in the world could I find exactly what I was looking for.
If anyone was ever thinking of doing the same, I hope this helps!
I am working my 71 RR.
I wanted to have the DRL turn off, and Amber on with Parking, Flash with turn or Hazards, turn back to DRL...
...dash in my Charger and the fit is actually pretty good. The electric speedometer was very easy to calibrate and seems to be with in 1 mph of the gps.
As suggested make sure to reinforce behind wiper and light switches and supply ground. I used ice blue ledbulbs instead of the regular ones.
