Just got a call that my Valiant dash parts (less than 5 weeks turn around time as usual) were done and went ahead and asked about Frank as he suddenly was completely unresponsive to inquiries. Unfortunately Frank has been diagnosed with a terminal brain tumor. It came on suddenly this summer...
'68 Coronet. Anyone replace the chrome strips in the headrests with the presumably Legendary Interior parts (from Classic Industries)? Any tips, tricks or watch out for? They have been in the console for 3 weeks, I should install them.
Thanks,
Jim
Was there such a thing as factory (or dealer installed) floor mats for my '68 Coronet? The ones that were in the car are sort of an off white/yellowish translucent plastic with what appears to be the Coronet Crest in the middle. Was there such a thing as Chrysler Floor mats for these cars?

On my bucket seats I took the back of the bases to take them in to get recovered. On the seat back hinge shoulder bolts on the passenger seat there was very thick washer (I think it was between the bolt head and seat back bracket). The drivers side did not have one. Can anyone verify
1) If...
Does anyone know if Legendary is open to buying just selects pieces of their upholstery kits? My '68 has the original interior and all it really needs is the drivers seat base recovered (and maybe new foam so it is more firm) the rest is like new. I really like being able to say it has the...

Topside of the Frame,
Backside of the Frame
Shaft,
Steel cup.
I want to know how the shaft is held so it does not pull upwards toward the...
Well as with any old car that has not been on the road in 35+ years this weekend I am working the bugs out. The speedo is very jumpy and getting worse. I had the dash out and I cleaned and lubed the cable during the restoration. I pulled the cable up and ran it very straight with a drill on...
I remember when I disassembled the interior getting the steering column flange that mounts the column to the firewall past everything was a bit of a chore. This is an AC car so the heater box is large (not sure if that has any bearing on difficulty)
For those that have done all this before...
While restoring my Coronet I have found that the rear quarter window had been broken in the past and the rear quarter and rocker are filled with glass. I have the interior gutted right now but I am not seeing how I can get the old glass out of these hidden areas. Is there a way? I was...
Couple questions about the interior window trim.
1) I get the moulding that clip to the headliner around the window on the top and sides. On the bottom there is a fat rubber looking filler between the rear shelf and the window. Does this come out? I am working on removing the rear window...
