Yea, 84 has the suck through throttle body. But, I have a half dozen 2 piece blow through intakes on the shelf...and I think I still have a conversion hat for the Garrett turbo...
The turbocharger still cuisinarts the exhaust note. I don't run a muffler on either of my turbos (the Daytona or the minivan) and they're very mellow.
I DO, however, run a muffler on my Cummins with the 4" turbo-back exhaust. It's my work truck and I get home from gigs between 1am and 3am...
Not sure if I posted this before or not, but it happened to me a bunch this weekend and pisses me off.
I get a soda, or a sandwich, or someone hands me a piece of equipment. Whatever. I say "thank you".
The response I get is "of course".
WHAT????
How about "you're welcome"? You know, like...
All this is why I still have my 91 Daytona turbo. Nowhere near the same league as the GNX or TTA, but still plenty of memories. And, same mod streak - bigger turbo, bigger injectors, 62mm throttle body (up from stock 46mm), gasket match intake ports, 2.5" exhaust (WITH cat, to control boost...
You can also build a trebuchet with duct tape...
(You'll note the counterweight used...)
Here's a how-to, complete with measurements, ratios, and torque outputs:
That's the process in MD for a registration...or, for a vehicle that has been insurance-totalled. Lost title? I don't know.
I have an 86 Shelby GLHS that I need to do this for though...but in MD.
I've liked them since new. Drove a GNX in 87, turned the salesman green...couldn't convince Dad to buy it though (I had just gotten my license).
Last typhoon I looked at was in key west. It was ROUGH...and he wanted 25k for it. Not GN-crazy numbers but still more than that one was worth IMO.
Yep - to keep up with the GNs turbo six.
That thing was a BEAST. Local dealer has a Typhoon on the lot...I'm debating stopping by.... GN power, AWD...hmmm....

With help from 16 JBL VTX A12s, 12 JBL VTX B28 subs, 10 VTX A8s, and a metric ****-ton of cables...and lights...and truss...
Nice quiet Saturday night.
It's called a "re-zero" procedure.
The pedal sends a variable voltage signal.
The throttle body (on a gasser; there is none on a diesel) reads and converts that signal to throttle opening angle.
You have to baseline the computer so it knows Xvolts=throttle closed, and Yvolts=full throttle. It...
I used to work for an RV dealer.
Any camper needs to be resealed annually. It dries, it shrinks, and it cracks...and it leaks.
Use the correct sealant - NOT that stupid flex-seal crap! Self leveling sealant for rooftop seams, it comes out like marshmallow fluff and settles into its spot...
Always loved (and still love) my Mopar 2.2 and 2.5 turbos... Up to about 18psi, you don't have to change anything. Over that, swap the torque-to-yield headbolts for 11mm ARP studs and use a good MLS headgasket, and you're good for over 35psi with appropriate fuel and spark changes. Stock bottom...
