I'd used to squirt the 'bad' spots with used oil on a 67 Dart in the mid 70's. Had one spot that I didn't do that to and it rusted through before any of the other bad spots....
Have 2 red pickups....a 96 Dakota and a 97 2500. Had the Dakota about 5 years now and was too nice to pass up. Had the 2500 since 2001 and it ran too good to pass up but I got it fairly cheap since the red clear coat was already pealing. The Dakota has been repainted....

I have a couple of the 1/4 turn ball valves on my out side water pipes and both of them leaked after a few years. My fix was to install brass Y adapters to them. The 1/4 turn valves are supposed to be industrial grade if such a thing exits. Worked fine for a couple of years but the Y adapters...
