Kids, Permanent Black Markers, Classic Cars Don't Mix

Yikes! Try drawing on a whiteboard with permanent marker. Then draw over the line with a dry erase marker and immediately wipe it off. It will typically remove the permanent marker.

1974 Roadrunner Re-Paint and Some Upgrades

Since about 15 years ago, I have been warming to green. First of all, I ended up with my factory Limelight 70 Road Runner. I really didn't want green, but when I saw the original, pristine factory paint under the B pillar trim, I decided to do it. It has really grown on me and now I love it...

1974 Roadrunner Re-Paint and Some Upgrades

I don't remember - I bought that in 2014 when I was restoring my 70 Road Runner. I might guess it was P.S.T. but I'm honestly not sure. Sorry.

For Sale: Not Mine 1974 Plymouth Roadrunner GTX with sunroof. North Babylon, NY

Per my understanding, that car has a 73 hood. The 73 had vents near the windshield; 74 did not.

A sector support kit looks like this: It has a fitting that secures the Pittman arm instead of the standard nut (Pittman arm not shown in this picture). The bearing has a bracket that attaches to the K-member to keep everything solid. This is what keeps the steering box/ Pittman arm from...

1974 Roadrunner Re-Paint and Some Upgrades

Spending some money!!! I like your suspension plan and think you will be happy with it when it is done. I might suggest a sector support addition to the bottom of the Pittman arm to stabilize that. The steering shaft can actually flex quite a bit, and this will lead to a bit of "sloppiness" in...

1974 Roadrunner Re-Paint and Some Upgrades

A common problem with the threaded upper control arms since the threads are so minimal and often strip. The weld makes sure it doesn't go anywhere. Common issue and common solution!

just a little off the back and sides please

He did recently repaint the garage. I never thought about the color of the garage until now. Sure, all the hard and messy work happens in my garage and then he moves his nice clean car to HIS garage! :poke:

FBBO member RJRENTON "Bob" has passed away.

RIP Bob. We need passionate car guys and gals who care about doing things well. I never have an issue debating a point because in the end everyone learns from it. Bob was a great add to FBBO and he will be missed.

just a little off the back and sides please

Yes. It's metallic, and very close to the car's original color. It has some very cool color shifts in bright sunlight.

The tires finally came in for the 67 GTX. So we mounted and balanced the tires, and then installed the wheels on the GTX. No more temporary wheels!

My new stock stroke 400 build

Your distributor should be able to give you about 20 - 24 degrees of mechanical advance. It should start coming in around 1000 RPM and be "all in" by 2800 to 3000 RPM. I had my Road Runner (with your old engine) at around 36 degrees total timing (initial plus mechanical, no vacuum). On the...

1974 Roadrunner Re-Paint and Some Upgrades

On my 70, I have a basically stock suspension with a few tweaks. It actually handles pretty well. This is what I did: * Polyurethane pivot shaft bushings for the lower control arms. These take a beating, so you want something strong. * Polyurethane busings in the sway bar. You want your sway...

    McDonald's Corporate BS

I'm a believer that diet soda (or anything with fake sugar) leads to diabetes. If you see someone come at you with a knife, your brain controls your body to shoot some adrenalin so you can "fight or flight". I believe that similarly, when you taste sweet, your body injects insulin to help break...
