    Ron Mancini has passed on...

Model I did up of Ron's 1964 Dodge. Gratiot Auto Supply was another favorite spot in Detroit before Ramchargers and Ron set up shop. About a 2 hour drive down the 401 from my place. It was a lot nicer back in the days before we had to have a passport to get into U.S.A.

    Ron Mancini has passed on...

R.I.P., Ron. Mancini's was the Go To place for most of us Mopar guys in Southwestern Ontario for our Direct Connection parts. I had been to their shop in Detroit many times. Always good folks to deal with. Catch a good light and Godspeed!

Dangerous Car Features of the Past

How about those dash mounted rear view mirrors in late '50's Mopars? A neighbour of ours was killed in a car accident years ago when the mirror broke off and the stalk went through his forehead.

    Front End FRIDAY!!!

I have always been amazed at the the factory body work it took to join the fenders and header panel of these old Imperials to be a one piece assembly. If you damage a front fender, how do you replace it?

64 Sport Fury Convertible Top Gap

I think that small gap is intentional, so the top does not end up like Post#5. I would think the 1964 Plymouth Service Manual would be much the same as the Dodge one in regards to this information. I will see if I can post a picture. I am better with Torqueflites than computers!

    An under valued Mopar????

Early C-bodies; they are always big blocks and are comfortable cruisers. 1964 Chryslers are my favourite of the bunch. If it was closer, and I were younger, I would snatch up that red 1963 Imperial for under $7,000 in WA.

64 Sport Fury Convertible Top Gap

Any water that enters here drains into the convertible top well liner. The liner itself has 2 drains that route any water out of the car through body plugs to the outside. Convertibles have never been completely waterproof; that is why they do not put cloth interiors in them.
