I found this panel on CL for $25, text my cousin about since he’s the one that is looking for it. He buys it and brings it to me to re-do it. So after I strip it, the amount and depth of the pitting was beyond fixing the proper way.
I usually strip, sand, polish then paint. Of course I fix...
I did the conversion on this grille about 6-7 years ago and the other day I get text asking if I can fix it. So 16 hours later, it’s better. The hit stretched the aluminum and you can’t shrink it back to original like you can metal. This is good as it’s gonna get.
Ok, I know this for an A body, but check it out!!! I'm grafting a 68' Super Bee bulge hood to a flat 69' Dart flat hood and this is where I ended up today. Still need to do a tad bit more final fitting, but it's getting there. Now all you guys that think I butchered an original Bee hood, I...
Anyone have a good source for the black runner gasket that goes between the taillite panel and body for a 64 polara 500? Any leads will help me to go in the right direction. Thanks.

Is sealer really necessary after you have primered and finshed all the bodywork? Also, can the sealer be sanded if it will be awhile before you paint? As always, thanks for the infor.
I used some primer my dad gave me today, what a freakin' mistake. He has had it for 2 years, never opened. Well since he has the coin to pay for his car to get done, he gave me alot of stuff to get mine done. Well I spent a half hour mixing the primer, used my cordless drill with a metal...
Well as it turns out I have bad hood hinges, not surprised given they are 40+ yrs. old 64 Polara 500. Anyway, I found a place that will replace all the rivets for 150 plus shipping, not a bad price if you look at some of the companys out there that will charge you up the wazoo and not even give...
Anyone got ideas? Seems the rear of my hood does not want to go down flush with the cowl. Now I only spent about 15 minutes doing this, but jeez, I should've been in the ball park. This is not rocket science or is it?
