It is probably a reman. It is not a 71, as they were well into the 72 model year by Nov., and a 72 model year starter would not have a 73 date code on it. If my brain is working, then the 36th week of 73 is into the 74 model year.
As above, the link needs to be flipped around.You can see the dent In the header where the centerlink hit when it was the right way around. It can't be installed upside down.
With all due respect, I disagree. My parts books do not list a washer for that application. They list one for the 9 1/4" dana used in some C bodies, but they used a different tee block. Even if you disregard the parts books, why would the factory use both together. Copper washers work just fine...
Yes it was ordered. Your punch card will have the shipping date, which is when it was shipped from the plant. I don't know about the date on the owner's manual.
The scheduled production date is the first three characters under the vehicle order number heading. The only letters would be A, B or C, for Oct., Nov. or Dec.
