Finally time to pull the trigger . . . starting on the New (much anticipated) SHOP - Build

More time spent working on the roof of the silo and the lookout . . . This has bee quite fun and the progress has been pretty fast and rewarding for a change . . . After this part of the roof was up there - the work on getting it painted began . . . should have done it on the ground ! Then...

    Rejuvenating old batteries

I ruined one in a pickup truck jerking out a tree stump once.....one jerk too hard, truck stalled. Battery was dead, right now, just like that. I assume you knock any crud loose and it shorts the cells at the bottom, it's toast unless you know some method of flushing the crud out.

Geez, oil changes are getting expensive

...filter as a "value added service", they must've unbolted the intake tube to the throttle body and didn't bolt it back on securely. It took me a few days before I discovered it. :BangHead: Now I continue to do all my own oil changes. It's messy and a pain, but at least I know *I* am reliable...

    Time to sell?

I wouldn't sell it. I've been working on mine for 11 years. I've gotten burned out a couple times. Just keep buying parts for when you have time.

    Speedmaster bb heads

Trickflow bbm heads, $3000 now? Quality offset rockers, maybe $800, maybe $1200. Fabbed valve covers, $200. Edelbrock intake, maybe,$400. So, roughly $4600. I might try the equivalent deal from speedmaster for $1400. (And yes, I KNOW the quality is NOT equivalent, but someone might be in a...

    Hemi valley head bolt tool

Yes, think that is how I did it. The 3 sets of numbers up there at the end are values at 25, 50, and 80 . Straight out, not at 90°. Broke the weld on my homemade tool. Need to find out what the boxed extension above is called so that I can hit the tool guys for a real one. Thank you!

What parts from 73 satellite disc brakes can i use on 69 charger

Spindle and rotor. Caliper bracket in 73 is pin, and no pin caliper clears the sway bar. 73 up caliper also dosn't fit any 66-72. Standard combo is A body disc setup with slider mount, caliper to the rear. Although I like 73 up spindle as its taller. 73up B brake hose, with an extra twist.
