roger all, thanks. Probably a job in tediosity, but might be better than removing the whole drive train. Press in clutch, drive in shim/putty knife/tapered tool, pry up, release. Move 60 degrees, rinse, repeat. Might work, I'll advise results.

also, probably the reason the 1968 shop manual shows only the 3-speed wiring diagram for "hemi only", whereas the Belvedere-Satellite diagram shows both. My GTX is June 4, 1968 build date, also St. Louis plant.

Thanks for the idea...the original switch panel was missing from the dash. I have two switch panels, both with 3-speed switches, but no guarantee either one is the original from the car. Would there be clues in the dash wiring harness? I have the original harness.
