I just bought a 64 Polara with a correct year 426/365 engine
in it. Is there any way to tell if it is a original 426S car from
the fender tag. It does not have a front sway bar but it was
a bolt on that year and could have been remove but I want to
verify that it is a 426 car that the seller...
In search of a decent driver's side fender. Preferably in Ohio or a neighboring state. Dents and surface rust are fine, but prefer not to deal with rot.

I hear you, my 1972 442 W-30 4 speed has manual disc brakes and the car stops fine with a bit more pressure than power break cars.
I am hoping to be driving the Bee and the 442 when I hit a 100 yrs. old (now 64), hopefully the eyes and legs are strong enough then to stop the 442...
Sell the power stuff and go back to manual. I know, you don't want to hear that! None of my 3 cars have power brakes, I surely do not have trouble stopping them, and one is a Hemi.
