I ran my vr1 10w-30 one year with a quart of 20w-50 and thought I was doing something. The magnet drain plug had a lot more shavings after that. So I dropped the heavy stuff from then on. Went right back to normal next two changes. Never again.
I wouldn’t run Lucas in anything. A good oil like vr1 needs nothing. I’d go with the 10w-30 for better cold start flow. I’ve never seen it on the shelf, have to do Amazon.
I asked earlier if he could stick a “Still” in the wording, but if I didn’t know better, I’d think he has a business to run or something. I’m thinking still could be done in a different color and maybe underlined.
We can certainly play around with this.
Ok I’ll forward those pics on, thanks.
We thinking the mopar #1 or the 30th deal on the front? I can ask if both are possible I don’t know how much trouble it causes to switch around.
He banged this out on the fly. Still easy to change around.
Shirt color ideas? I can ask. I’m assuming white, heather gray, maybe black are possible. Didn’t think to ask that yet.
Break in was May 17, 1995. 30th seems appropriate to me. Color for a 30th is green, not sure a green sledge would be what we want.
Any ideas on a pocket area logo using this as a loose idea?
If you want to post a pic of it with a ruler, go ahead. He can play around with it easy now.
Other things to discuss, was this on the back or the front? I can’t remember. Looks like back.
Other thing is what to put on front. We were laughing about putting a little anniversary thing on the...
Check the sway bar end links. Mine seemed ok when I got the car and were deteriorating as I started using the car as mother Mopar intended. They still seemed solid when I checked by hand, but I took one out and it crumbled in front of me. I out the ford ball joint links in and never looked back...
This is the shirt he did for me in I believe 2003. He bought a huge catalog of licenses for company logos and I thumbed it and saw the only ones I cared about!
Keep in mind this was a perfect shirt until about 7-8 years ago when the transfer vehicle ghosted through around the name. It wasn’t...
Side notes, I have a Some Car Guy shirt he made me to wear to a mopar show over 20 years ago, and that thing is still going strong.
Other thing is I’m going to push one be made and taken to Darrell Alderman. His construction company is just down the road. I think he’ll get a kick out of it.
Great news gentleman, my best friend has a trophy and embroidery shop. This is right in his wheelhouse. He said he not only can do it, but he is eager to get them out. Proceeds will go towards an outing for our families!
He said put a ruler on it and he can scale it off that. Should have a...
That center vent comes out pretty easy. Must come out. It can be a pain to install the antenna wire. Be sure to go ahead with a new speaker while there. Be sure it has the correct ohms or you’ll burn out the transistor. Sm Electrotech has what you need. I did this job a couple years ago on 69...
That car had a sway bar and you won’t like driving it without one. Should be plenty around used or pick one from any of a number of venders. It has to be the one that is curved up in the middle. The 70-up bar goes through the k member and is a completely different bar. It’s flat.
I use and...
I for one am glad this mopar is getting saved. I don’t think busting the guys balls is necessary, he seems to have a handle on the matter and I only wish my family had more cool people to help in any way they can. Getting jealous that he has the best setup for a car guy of all time isn’t going...
I have found the 3.91 cars to be pretty rare. My 440 car was a factory 3.23 that was mandatory with the ac. Somebody put 3.91s in it. Last owner had those switched back to 3.23s. He said it was just ridiculous and I’d say so in a bone stock car.
The other thing in my case is the factory did...
I’m not sure you can speculate based on that. I’d order the oem spring.no wonder it’s so stiff. At least compared to later 60s car spring anyway. I’d not think that one should be much if any different.
