This exactly. A true resonator will not effect flow, it will target the sound.
My 69 GTX has vibrant round can style resonators. The drone described by the op has been in many of my cars. I decided I would spend whatever it took to have this car be quiet. The big super turbo dynomaxs, x pipe...
I’d offer maybe 5 for that car. Maybe. Problem is the wasted cars are worth more on a sliding scale than nice cars. Some of it is the parts value. Some of it is there are more people with a little cash to say they have a certain car, than those that have a lot. Put another way, a 40k car isn’t...
I have lost track of all the people on my street that got new roofs for “hail.” Guy next door told off a contractor that didn’t want to play. Said he’d get one who would get it done. Guy caved as he got the job. I heard it plain as day from my garage.
Another guy kinda smugly sly bragged...
I’d at least match the factory. I’m not sure you can avoid this with modern gas. My car has all factory stuff and is routed to the correct nipples on the tank. Still pukes up a bit sometimes when I get home.
Stabil 360. It treats ethanol and is also a fuel system cleaner. I run it year round in the GTX and all my small power. I also avoid LAC gas and stick with top tier, mostly the Shell 93 is what I run.
Not all gas is the same.
13 minutes to fill 35 gallons? A gas pump flows 10-13 gpm and it takes me u def three minutes to fill 28 gallons. Capless system has never shown signs of spilling either.
I think he means can you turn the wire over. Sounds like doing so has created contact between both terminals and that be your problem. As suggested, try filing out the hole in the wire end a little at a time u til you can attach it the right way and then not have it touch the one from the relay.
Agm batteries like 14.5+ voltage. I would ground the reg to the block and see if that changed what you are getting. My solid state reg in my 69 is putting out about 14.5 IIRC.
I’ll add that my exhaust guy is a gearhead and had a 69 Camaro drag car for a long time. He tried h pipe, x pipe, and no balance pipe at all. Said they all ETed exactly the same. He ended with the x pipe because that was the last one he put on the car. Only did it because it cost him virtually...
Yes, that wing is a hideous growth on a beauty. I had plans to install a new deck lid immediately and live with whatever blend of paint the fickle finger of fate bestowed on me.
Dealer had it at 72k. I called and confirmed it had a non matching 440 and the original 727. I knew right away it...
I was thinking 30k, but here and the Moparts gang all seem to point more like 40. I’ve noticed the values we come up with seem to be low, I was roundedly criticized by a seller over the winter when I was 10k more than the Moparts usuals thought on his car, he said I was low by 10k in offers and...
If this were a runner and just needed a few things to be useable I would’ve likely gotten close to his number and just dealt with the clowns that think it’s a 5k junker they can afford. I used to do the ratty muscle car thing before it was cool. That’s the only downside, the clowns following you...
I’ve gotten enough opinions that the car is worth more than I think it is. Closer to what he wants. I have 2k or better shipping, plus a plane ride to go see it. A bridge too far as they say.
It’s in the new Hemmings so I’ll just leave this here since he put his number out nationally already.
That’s my line of thinking. Real case for it is how it’s loaded down with equipment. Really hard to find a better line up of goodies and colors.
To answer an earlier question, the parts are supposed to be from this car. Guy is no longer mobile and stopped. He’s a car guy through and through.
