    1974 Roadrunner Re-Paint

I saw this car, I click on these and realize what rusty **** piles they are and forget about getting one again. Look at very last few photos. Car looks good until you see that, plus a few that show some crappy spot in paint, especially the hood...

    1974 Roadrunner Re-Paint

I have avoided the 73-4 due to metal not being available. I like those a lot. I do think the tin grille truck patches for over the wheels might be a possible thing to try if needed. I keep getting the itch for a different car. Then I see stuff like the inch or more of bondo that was used and...

1969 Super Bee...worth restoring? Or make it a driver?

Well that’s not bad either. I have wished my 69 X was a 68 since I bought it. Just like those better.

1969 Super Bee...worth restoring? Or make it a driver?

Shame they did it the wrong way by doing the topside first. Looks plenty nice enough to drive. I’d find a way to seal that bottom up with something to preserve it and let it go at that. You will be wishing you’d just bought a finished car once you tear this apart and see all the time and money...

    Looking for Owner history

The issue is people want to leave it open so they can skip transfer and property taxes. Sticks them with doing so by writing in their name. Ot they won’t have a title to sell it with, so it loses value. I’m not into them having something in my name, so it kinda forces their hand. Sooner they...

    Looking for Owner history

These days I do a bill of sale and still do what I always did that really pisses off the buyer. I write their name in the blank on the title.

5 blade to a 7 blade well it help

Sounds pretty low. Need to check without vacuum hooked up. Typically you’d be at like 10 without vacuum and 34 total. Watch the total as that is where you can get into detonation and engine death. Second would be how aggressive the curve comes in.

Things the car factories did that made no sense to you

And think along the lines of reducing exhaust to 2.25 on the tail. That had to save many millions. People always used to scoff at me putting the stone shield back on the trans. I said do you think the factory had a reason to spend that money on a zillion cars, or not? Got some bewildered looks...

    What PSI for my Roadrunner?

How old are those tires? I didn’t know Goodyear still made 14s. I have some of those 14 inch redline radials. I run about 25-26 depending on what the lowest one lands on so they all match. Handles like the oem car it is and still will thump pretty hard on bumps. Tires wear even as can be. Not...

New big money starters worth it?

Highland park hummingbird is a sweet sound. The mini isn’t far off and worth it for clearance and half the weight.

New big money starters worth it?

Get a new mini off Amazon. AC Delco brand box. No telling who made it. 86 bucks versus the markup on those others. Uh, nope.

    Suggestions for stock clutch

You need to have a guy that drives 4 speeds drive that car. There is little chance you will get a softer clutch than a Centerforce. To make it clear, since you keep asking, a diaphragm clutch like you have has waaaaaayyy less effort than a 3 finger. It’s not even a debate. A wet disc will...

YOUR dream car , If its not the car you currently own. What would it be

Runner up is a 69 rr vert, white on blue with nice options. I came very very close to buying that car, when my current car dropped in my lap. I actually contacted that guy again last year and of course it had sold being years later, but I’ve also bought ones before like that on a check back. I...

YOUR dream car , If its not the car you currently own. What would it be

I had this car bought, Covid knocked me out of getting it home. I’m still pretty pissed about it. It was a title jump and required me traveling to get the original owner to sign my state paper. Even worse, I later found out I could’ve skipped it on a classic car purchase. Couldn’t get that...

RB exhaust design from headers back

If 5200 is all you are looking to do with a stock stroke 440, then a 3 necked down to 2.5 at the back will be plenty good. I’d choose the h pipe for that classic sound, although I only run the x pipe on my stuff. I’ll tell you this is first one I’ve had with resonators and I don’t hear that...

RB exhaust design from headers back

If you want to kill the drone, be sure to do some resonators. They won’t hurt flow. The super turbos are good, but like most stuff they will drone. X pipe, h pipe and no cross all perform the same at the track, so says my exhaust guy who tired all three on his drag car. They can change around...

whats the casting number for caliper brackets ?

I’m curious as to why he chose to do the sliders and not the pin type? The pin ones are a better setup for when things get hot and expand.

whats the casting number for caliper brackets ?

Yep, I think you see why I’m on the train for a set at 75 bucks like the other guy said. Lol.

    440 Starter Replacement

I didn’t put anything in there on the 440 or the 383. I do think I saw somebody makes a little shield to fill the open area. I believe anyway. I don’t drive my car in the rain or off road it, so it isn’t a concern for me. I’d have to look and see if it even is off by much or any. I’m goin Goff...
