    I was in the same boat 4 years ago. I was pulling the clusters every other month. I fix one gauge and another starts playing up. After pulling the cluster for the 10th time, I bought the Dakota Digital cluster and it was the best decision ever.

    Headers are off. The threads look good to me with no cracks. I added a few pics, maybe someone can spot something I'm missing? At this stage I suspect the culprit is the second bolt from the front. Longer Bolts on the way.

    The thread sealant I used was for a high temp application Loctite 592 High Temperature Thread Sealant 50mL The studs I have look short to me, 3/8" long. I have longer bolts and I'll try that first and if that fails, the headers are coming off.

    Many thanks for all your replies. I'll clean the threads really well and try longer bolts. That failing, I'll dig deeper. Aluminium heads sounds very appetising too.

    The credit card company said that the time for refund had elapsed. After dozens of emails and phone calls the engine was finished 2 weeks ago and he sent me the dyno video. Engine finished with a 2 year delay. I will believe it when the engine is shipped though.
