Suggestions on lower control arm bushing

Never mind. Looked at your pics again and it looks like you put something under the LCA to support the bushing while you pressed the pivot in.

Suggestions on lower control arm bushing

Seems like you could inadvertently push the inner sleeve out of the bushing doing it that way. I pressed the bushing onto the pivot so I could support the inner sleeve and then pressed that assembly into the LCA.

    Car bubble.

They are made to reuse. I have one in the garage and it does collect moisture but not enough. Car still sweats. An industrial one would cost 3 times as much as the bubble. So I thought I would try the bubble.

    Skinnies tire size

Will put a set of 28x10.5 hoosiers slicks on my 64 belvedere this year. I was wondering what a suitable front tire would be. Looking at 27 or 28x4.5 hoosiers. Wheels will be 15x4 and 15x10 weld prostars. Thanks.

And So It Begins - Tremec TKX Conversion Into A 64 Polara

The Tremec in my car shifts fine when cruising but yeah, the 1-2 shift above 6000 rpms isn't good. Mine is the last of the TKOs that Silver Sport had in stock as the TKX was being phased in. I was told that the TKXs all had the upgrades for improved shifts up to 6500 and that mine could be...

    Subframe Connectors and unibodies

the only downside with mine is that by design (Global West brand), to accommodate the cylindrical shape and welded end brackets they are not tucked in as tight to the floor as some of the square channel type, so they are partially (maybe 15%) visible when standing back and looking at the car at...

Suggestions on lower control arm bushing

The lower bushings can get a thin smear of oil or grease but it is a press fit so whatever you use will get scraped off.
