I've had them go in real easy, and they didn't last long. And had ones like yours that are very tough to install. I suggest softening them up in some hot water and use a lubricant.

I'm restoring my 69 Dart right now. I bought the Hemi style lift off hood years ago. I'm still going to keep it. I'm tall so taking it off by myself is not an issue. Plus there is the wow factor.
