I have a disc/drum manual master cylinder. I'm told I need a proportioning valve and distribution block. Can I mount either between the master cylinder and line lock? I don't want to have to relocate the line lock.

So I got my manual disc/drum master cylinder bolted up. But the pedal rod comes out too easy. The rubber bushing on the end of the rod is at least 17 years old and had brake fluid soaked on it from the old mc leaking. Would a new bushing lock the rod in the mc tight?
I have disc/drums with a manual drum brake master cylinder. If I go with a master cylinder for disc brakes do I need to get a adjustable prop valve or can I use the factory prop valve? On hard stops it doesn't lock up the brakes.
