My 69 Bee has some rust cancer on the drivers side only, the rest of it is solid. Anyone use a repair cap to fix one? Of course the major players’ websites state “coming soon.” Looked on eBay and nothing. Anyone know of an available part?
Guess I could always cut the rust out and weld...
The following bolts came off my 69 Bee and not even sure if they’re correc.
The thick one (4 total) is for the lower arm and ball joint and is a 5/8-18 thread.
The skinnier one (4 total) is for the front caliper brackets and is a 1/2-20 thread. On one of them, the washer broke in half so keen...
With the front end being apart on my 69 Bee, front disk brake car, I discovered this oddity with the caliper bracket, looks like the mounting holes have been torched open to make bigger.
Any body have ideas or know where I can get just these brackets please, or do I need to purchase a new...
Got one LCA off and starting other side today. But a few questions.
Looking at the pivot arms, mine look pretty good and should be better once cleaned up, but comparing the originals to an aftermarket pair I noticed some slight differences. curious if will cause problems later as some members...
In this picture, where the yellow arrow is pointing, is this torn up rubber gasket/seal replaceable? Been looking through the FSM and Factory Parts Catalog, and can't find anything specific on it, though in the Parts Catalog, it looks like it may be referred to as "Bumper." But what all needs...
So I've started the process of installing new PST torsion bars on my 69 Bee, figured I do something enjoyable on this holiday before having to go deal with family.
I've read most of the posts and have the FSM, but for the life of me, I can't understand why the upper control arm bump stop is...
I noticed on my steering column, 69 Super Bee, a misalignment it looks like. On the turn signal side, the gap is very very small. On the gear selector side, the gap is massive. I think this might be the issue causing the horn to beep when I turn right. I’ve loosened everything and trying to...
I removed my Bee's steering column over the weekend, and I'm hoping to fix a big annoyance while it's out. The gear selector pointer is missing and I'd like to put something in there that tells me what gear I'm in (the Bee is a column shift).
Does someone have pictures of how / where the...
I finally got the parking brakes on my Dana axle and come to find out the darn parking brake pedal is messed up. I can press the parking brake pedal down but it doesn't stay down, you can hear it clicking as it goes down, but it comes right back up. Is it possible for the ratcheting arm or...
Over the winter I installed new MP XHD springs and poly bushings on my Bee. Now, when I turn corners, there’s a metal grating or slapping noise coming from the rear.
I know others have said the poly bushings are firm and maybe noisy, BUT FOR THOSE THAT HAVE OR TRIED poly bushings, what kind...
I started my MP XHD leaf spring install today, and it was more challenging than I thought getting the springs off. I recently put new Bilstein shocks on and the rubber bushing must still be nice and sticky because that was a PIA just getting the shock bottom off. To hell with that, so I took...
After reading the Mopar Muscle article about rebuilding leaf springs and seeing them use Energy Suspension poly bushings (MN41001G), I bought the poly bushings for my new MP XHD leafs. The rear bushings fit easily enough, but looking at the front bushing and the leaf, how the hell do you get it...
I'm considering getting some Eaton leaf springs with the 2" lift, but curious how drastic the lift is. Does anyone have pics of their car before and after with the 2" lift springs please. Or even with the 1" lift springs.
I purchased the MP XHD springs for my 69 Bee (will sell if I go with...
Hopefully the attached photos provide enough detail for people to see what parking brake pieces are missing from the rear drum brakes. I've never dealt with drum brakes before, so not sure what pieces of the parking brake is missing.
TIA!
So I'm looking at getting these Billet Specialties black anodized Street Lite wheels, and almost pulled the trigger today until I realized I also need LH lug nuts. Billet Specialties doesn't list any LH lug nuts, so will Cragar or Weld LH lug nuts work with these wheels? The lugs I need are...
My '69 Super Bee with power steering has quite a bit of slop/play in the steering wheel. Was going to get the car aligned, but before the guy would align it he felt the steering wheel slop and said I should fix that first before getting an alignment. He looked at the power steering gearbox and...
So I got a YO power steering return hose for my car and the description says its 11/32; is that inside diameter or outside diameter? I'm replacing the nonfactory hoses for the power steering and currently the return hose is a monster size and the 11/32 return hose is too small to fit the...
I'm redoing the front brake lines and hoses on my 69 Super Bee. Upgrading to SS brake lines, but with rubber brake hoses (as I can't find SS hoses for my Super Bee).
The brake hoses I took off the car look like this:
The replacement hoses I got from Year One don't have the brass block...
So I've read a few different articles about people removing one or two leaf spring clamps on their Mopars. Tried researching this on the internet, and I'm finding nothing decent that explains the reasoning for removing leaf spring clamps. :BangHead:
What's the benefit of removing leaf spring...
Just spent today installing new QA1 upper control arms after my driver side upper bolt joint blew out on Sunday and left me stranded. Went pretty easy. The broken side of course was the tough side as this procedure was new to me. Getting the new arms in was a PIA and they just wouldn't go in...
