I have 67 coronet 440 automatic, i have no kick down lever for the 727, i'm wondering if i could modify a GM style kick down cable to work with it, have any of you guys done this? finding the right linkage looks like a head ache
IMO, it'll likely blacken things out the exhaust as well.
Then too, if you must, consider electric heated choke or at least set up a manual choke......
oh................
....and don't forget to adjust it.
Well, not to be stubborn by any means, but I grounded the wires to the fuel and temperature sending units and the gauges came alive! I measured about 8 volts with a pulse at both wires. It came on every second.
But with the wires installed correctly at both units, the gauges went dead again.
So...

My advice, don't do it. I've done it and was not worth it. stumble and bog until you are driving 20-30 minutes. The choke won't come off on time, will be late and run rich. That's not good for the new engine, so you try to back off the choke then cold starts and drivability are not good. Dark...
