IIRC has a lean-burn ignition system to on that org. 318
you'll probably need to bypass that too... Anyway for the 440 combo
Maybe call M&H Electrical Fabricators Inc.
they are Mopar harness experts

I do not offer the volt gauge. I recommend keeping the original look as well as using the MADElectrical to charge without ALL the AMPS going through the bulkhead/gauge which, as you know, burns Mopars down. I use the MADElectrical and then buy an inexpensive mini solid state volt meter to plug...
Caught 2 of TCM's Thursday Halloween specials-
The 1935 "Bride Of Frankenstein" (which was surprisingly good with also surprisingly good effects considering the time).
The final "mad scientist" scene is GREAT if you like period electrical gadgets.

I posted this in electrical but didn't get much response, trying here.
Having a little overcharging problem, 69 RR 383 4 speed, all new wiring for the whole car with the MAD wiring. At idle I get 14.4v to 14.5v on Dakota Digital gauges (matches volt meter at battery), when revved to 4000rpm I...
About the MadElectrical bypass? Just a few. Do a search on “ammeter”, plenty of past threads here on the subject, lots of opinions and some facts.
I’m running 130amp alternators, lots of added electrical loads (Including a Snipper/Hyperspark), correctly loaded on the alternator side of the...
Forget the OHM's. You need to test the circuit under load. It should only take 20 to 30 minutes to check it. Your problem is a constant issue which makes it easier to diagnose.
also for supplies try MadElectrical.com - Mad Enterprises
Mad Enterprises,
the guy (Owner, I forget his name now) likes to talk

maybe even some supplies still

OK, so I am going to do the Madelectrical ammeter bypass on my 65 coronet. I have read the MAD article several times , but nowhere in it does it mentioned how afterwards you might REPLACE the ammeter with a voltmeter. Can you just plug it in to the old ammeter black/red leads instead of...
...topped off so it sounds like I’m ok there. It’s a ‘69 charger and putting it together I replaced the engine harness and did the MADelectrical amp gauge bypass, and other then the usual issues with the bulkhead, the rest of it was ok. The keys switch was replaced this last summer while...
KD, you've had that car for many years. You did do the MADElectrical wiring upgrade, didn't you? Since I did, I haven't had issues. The link has a good diagram.

I agree with you. I don't see how the spring can grab if the wedge is in between the spring. I think it should be on the right side because during wiping the motor spins clockwise which would cause it to spring to grab the shaft. The cam needs to be longer at this time so it...
...360 engine with iron heads, an electric fuel pump, electric fan, a custom ignition system, and EFI. I would highly recommend doing the MADelectrical bypass for this alternator: Catalog

...load limits. There are many past threads here on this supposed “spontaneously combusting ammeter” non-issue. If you must refer to the “MadElectrical” article, read carefully about what specific platform it is addressing, late seventies truck plastic framed ammeters.

...to the ammeter were cut and removed. The oil pressure and water temp wires were removed and the speedometer cable removed. I did the MADelectrical upgrade with a few small twists. The feeds to the lights are orange wires. Those were disconnected and taped. Overall, most of the original...
In a perfect world with correct loads there is little problems. I can tell by your post you never worked in a dealership back in the day. Working in a dealership since 1972 I can tell you I fixed many. Some did not get fixed [imagine that and why]. For what its worth plastic or steel cluster...
