Oh you are running a QA1 K-member. Didn't realize that.
I have no idea if a stock routed 70-72 B-body sway bar (also all E-body) will work with the QA1 K-member.
If you could borrow a stock one you might be able to figure out.
Are the QA1 lower control arm sway bar tabs in the factory...
That's a 66-69 style sway bar setup. Lower control arm mount near end of control arm. The K-member does not have a cutout in it to pass a Sway bar through it *
* some late 69 B-bodies have K-members that have a cutout style K-member enough though the sway bar is mounted up front like in...
Hellwig I think is available hollow and less expensive than both.
It’s a simple straight in middle sway bar for stock 70-72 setups.
I can’t believe QA1 made a bar to go on the outside. Maybe really intended for their own K-members.
Just got this frame for the dealership my 66 Hemi Satelite was bought at. Of course, looking for one more to match it.
Just cleaned right side chrome with Wenol polish.
I’m not a huge fan of the massive plate. Just run 1” x 1 1/2” strap under the sway bar bracket and one under bushing if the sides are splitting making the swivel too loose.
Can be done with a 12” of 1” wide strap bought at Home Depot: metal strip, hacksaw, and a welder.
I don’t think the sway...
What’s the front rim backspace and front tire size !
We can figure out the outside dimensions of the “box” cylinder and then pick other combos that fit inside that “box”
That’s from earier shows so it’s an earier model.
I think they had 3 or so at any one time.
They are actually Formula models, but the scoop hood was removed to look more plain like an everyday PI might have.
Pat the Rockford Firebird owner/restorer shown in video and is a Mopar guy too. Lives close in my same town
He built and owned the Daytona used in the Joe Dirt movie. They added patina (fake) and the rims.
Also the B5 blue Superbird from the remake Gone in 60 Seconds was his.
One of the two...
It’s just extra insurance.
The cost of bracket for 11.75 vs consequences.
No one will ever notice the difference looking at them vs 10.75” disk.
Come out to a Spring Fling Malibu Friday Cruise through Santa Monica mountains
yes drag radials for the front. Some have done that. They are the street drag stuff. Find the 15" drag radial street tire you are looking at, then search web for people running them in front.
Also take a look at some 15" street drag radials. around 275/50/15 size.
I think they may have a little better sidewalls and grip than BFG's or Coopers.
Like Nitto, Mickey Thompson, others.
I'd like to add Moog 7103 offset upper control arm bushing to that list.
Installed per the following instruction for added caster alignment.
DO NOT install them per the printed instructions in the kit to get more caster.
-Larger torsion bars 1.04 to 1.22
-1 1/4” dia front sway bar
-Adjustable rear sway bar
-Bilstein RCD shocks minimum up to Viking double adjustables
-Borganson steering box
- 275 wide front and 275+ tires in rear
-at least 12” factory type “cop” front rotors. Larger diameter rotors will require...
