If you go to visit the car, check the date casting numbers on the engine block, intake manifold, and exhaust manifolds. They should be at least 30 days before the build date on the fender tag.
The "OG" is stamped on a different angle than the VIN, the differences in depth (sharpness) of the stampings looks suspect too. The difference in the depth of the transmission stamping seems odd also.
71 R/T uses screws through the bumper mount into the taillight housing. Agree those "push pin" fasteners are not factory. Also agree I would use the 1/4-20's and nylocks since the bolts won't see high heat.
