My cousin gave me a 69 hemi roadrunner

Clean it up. Take pictures evrywhere to preserve the back story. Service all the mechanicals. Install a 440. Find seats if you want. (I would put the dash back in) Enjoy it and keep telling the story. It is a Surdriver.

    Four speed input shaft troubles

I took my time and it worked well. I would not say they are the highest quality, but they were not the cheapest either. It is not that much to drill so it wasn't that bad.

    '69 road runner......like I needed another!

I just shared some info out of this thread. That made me go through it again. What a blast that was building it! Now it lives a fancier life at a younger fella's place, but still being driven as a car! Memories.......

No mag drill required. Patience. Mag if you want, it wont hurt, just not necessary.

Looking for advice from fellow Canucks

I have a buddy in Lethbridge if he is still a dealer. There is one in Taber, and I have a friend in Cranbrook who was a licensed distributor. Pm me and I can point you their way. But they only order as the order becomes viable. Shipping is killer now.

    Fender angles - help!

Try measuring from the body line to the straight edge in pictures 1 and 4. The shape / angles do not appear to be the same, which would cause a change in the height at the back. That is just how it looks in the pics to me.

Test fit in the old skin. Pretty good still. Wasn’t sure with blasting. And the Dart…..

Just gotta zap the side cuts that allowed the curve. The corner is supposed to be pointier, but the other side is rounded off from years of sitting on the tips. So I just matched it.

Cleaned up quite nice. A few more touches with the grinding disc to take the welds down a little further and then a skin of fiber coat to seal it up. Now that pesky little corner.

Well, that switch the other day failed because the motor was losing bearing. Thank goodness Princess Auto is awesome. They replaced the switch even though I told them it was a motor issue. But $300 motor was a good reason. Regularly $380 but it was on sale.

Still resisting cutting the whole corner off. But I still might if I have to struggle with the body finessing. Next patch.

Thank you sir. It is not in the same league as your car, but it was never meant to be! Yours is looking very nice. Yes these hoods are virtually impossible to come across. I have had an ad out for a year and only saw a couple. Of course, too far away!

I was tempted to cut the whole corner off but that left way too much room for error! The first patch is awesome. I did it from the back side this time. I’ll probably do the rest like this. Easier to finish clean.

The folks who worked on this hood in the past did not have the luxury of the skin being off. This is a huge benefit when it comes to tapping out little dings!

    Garage /shop layout

I have 32x54. Yes specifically planned that way. 14 off one end for an office, bench area both 14x16 and mezzanine up top 14x32. Bench area turned into the build bay as well under there. Then the main door comes in at the side of that into my 32x40 shop area. 3 bays on the right end, one with a...
