If you are getting serious about this Daytona clone build, PM me and I can give you details of what I did, and I still have all of the reference measurements/pics of Daytonas I used to do mine. Including how I got the pop up lights to work.

One thing to consider is how far you want to go in making it a Daytona "clone." Planning to just do the nose and wing, or the rear window too. I built one using all of Janak's parts, and found a Charger 500 back glass. If you do the "fastback" rear window you will need either a fiberglass plug...

I would look at the issue date on the title. If it confirms he's had the car for 20 years, why sell it after having all if that work done? (Did he find something more wrong? Or money/health issues?). If the issue date on the title does not confirm the 20 year claim, I would walk away.

Get a 71 Charger R/T on the road which is now on a rotisserie. :praying:

What you can see on the underbody concerns me also. There appears to be some repair panels in place that look to be the standard EDP coating, there are a couple of places where you can see the spray on undercoating (what's hiding under that?). And in a couple of pics you can see rust under...

Do you have a number for that relay, and a "simple" schematic of how you wired it in?

Seeing the question on neutral safety switches made me think (a bad habit for me). Anyone doing restorations on the relay that operates the headlight doors on 70/71 Chargers?
