If you are getting serious about this Daytona clone build, PM me and I can give you details of what I did, and I still have all of the reference measurements/pics of Daytonas I used to do mine. Including how I got the pop up lights to work.
One thing to consider is how far you want to go in making it a Daytona "clone." Planning to just do the nose and wing, or the rear window too. I built one using all of Janak's parts, and found a Charger 500 back glass. If you do the "fastback" rear window you will need either a fiberglass plug...
I would look at the issue date on the title. If it confirms he's had the car for 20 years, why sell it after having all if that work done? (Did he find something more wrong? Or money/health issues?). If the issue date on the title does not confirm the 20 year claim, I would walk away.
A "Mold Master." It heated up a plastic then you pushed own a plunger forcing the plastic into a mold which made military vehicles, figures, and a lot of other things depending on the mold selected. Best toy in the world for someone whose Old Man worked in a foundry.
