Dash Pad Replace, Dash Shell In or Out of CAR?

The windshield is out, so just remove the bolts at the lower windshield dash attachment points and loosen the bolts at the kick panels, then just tilt the dash toward the interior. It will rest on the column. The pal nuts can then easily be removed.

    383 quench

The 67 383 that I recently built is still standard bore, and the flat top stock pistons are 16 thousandths in the hole. I went with, I believe 020 steel shim head gaskets on the stock 516 closed chamber heads with the 1.60 exhaust valves changed to 1.74 with a little port work. The cam I chose...

Wow it's COLD out there! What about your spot?

And we are to believe that there is global warming. Not as cold here as most of the posts so far, but a good 25 degrees lower than the normal around here.

    Exhaust manifold paint or coating

I use POR15 cast blast. That's what it was called 20 years ago. I believe it's high temperature cast coating today. The manifolds on my Superbird have been coated for 23 years and the rebuilt engine was first started 21 years ago. I let the engine heat and cure them. To this day there is no...

    B block 6 pack

I've had no trouble, my 440-6 carbs were NOS from the 80's and work as designed. My 400 based 451 is just slightly more cu in than a 440, so not much additional tuning was needed. The 6bbl has much more kick when engaged. Also as designed, the speedometer goes right and the gas gauge left.

    B block 6 pack

My 68 383 Dart is now a 400 based 451 stroker with the Eldebrock low deck 6bbl intake. It fits under the stock hood. No dyno runs with the 4bbl or the 6bbl setup, but seat of the pants tells me there is no comparison. I have run both on this car and now have a convertor (not installed yet) to...
