Confusing I agree. The float rises, and via a lever, pushes down on the pistons to shut off fuel flow. I think the pistons may be jammed. I will check again the orientaion of the baffle plates; i had them backwards originally, and the top would not mate with the bottom of the carb!
My'97 Camaro SS is red. I noticed the advertisements of the time showed either the red or the white and orange anniversary models. Those orange and white cars have appreciated faster than red. At the time, I thought they looked garish. but sometimes that works as in the Super Bird and Daytona...
They can't all be fully restored show cars... Some actually get driven & enjoyed.... I'll be the first to admit, it deserves a better resto than it got but "completely & correctly"??? Nah..

Lower rockers are wavy as crap. Painted door light switches and penstar emblem on fender. Paint inside door hinges and under hood is a different color green.

Yes. Early ones, mid 60's and back I think, were 4 7/32". Don't remember when they went to 5 1/8". I wanted to put an AFB/AVS on the wagon, 67, but could not get the right base for it. As it sits right now, there is 1/2-3/4" of clearance with what I have. Performer RPM also. Regular Performer is...
