    Confused on Strut Rod Bushings

Who cares when you started? Did you provide a picture or explanation to help the guy right NOW? No, you didn't. People don't ask for advice here only to be given the run-around. Many people want instant answers and sometimes, it is possible to give them. Yes, a service manual can be invaluable...

Has anyone had homeowners insurance cancelled?

Last year my local small company Drake-Beemont doubled my homeowners, we had a bad hailstorm in the area. I did not have any damage. When I went looking for cheaper insurance could not find any, mainly because they would not insure my home for what Drake-Beemont did, they said it was worth...

    Confused on Strut Rod Bushings

Get an FSM, when you are bored page through it and get to know your car. A lot of good info in there, learn something and you can start answering questions for others.

    Confused on Strut Rod Bushings

I was probably working on these cars before you were born. If he has to ask a simple thing as this, he should have a FSM instead of asking over and over, or for something more difficult. That is why I recommended a FSM.

I'm thinking about making a short movie.

My last movie is a multi-generational tale about the wild Indiains descent to the reservations in Oklahoma, Wyoming and Montana. That have become meth-filled welfare states that are hard to escape. There are plenty of documentaries about this but not fiction. Maybe there was. I remember hearing...

    Deep hum, not drone, cruising

This exactly. A true resonator will not effect flow, it will target the sound. My 69 GTX has vibrant round can style resonators. The drone described by the op has been in many of my cars. I decided I would spend whatever it took to have this car be quiet. The big super turbo dynomaxs, x pipe...

Look for advice on a low mileage 70 Satellite that I am considering purchasing.

I’d offer maybe 5 for that car. Maybe. Problem is the wasted cars are worth more on a sliding scale than nice cars. Some of it is the parts value. Some of it is there are more people with a little cash to say they have a certain car, than those that have a lot. Put another way, a 40k car isn’t...

Need Help Getting a firm pedal

On a power brake car the pedal is a bit closer to the floor boards than a manual brake car. Did you set the adjustment on the booster pushrod? I guess the Bendix has one - can't remember.

Has anyone had homeowners insurance cancelled?

I have lost track of all the people on my street that got new roofs for “hail.” Guy next door told off a contractor that didn’t want to play. Said he’d get one who would get it done. Guy caved as he got the job. I heard it plain as day from my garage. Another guy kinda smugly sly bragged...

What is the general opinion of doing a 440 block .060 over?

That is one VINTAGE sign there! TRW is a very familiar name to me and many others. The shop choices in my immediate area are dwindling. The last good one, the owner is retiring soon or selling out. The only other one has a deserved poor rep. I'll be looking at the valley or LA area when it's...

    Confused on Strut Rod Bushings

Describing how to properly repair something is kinda exactly the function of an FSM. Usually the problem is people can't or won't read.
