I hate hood pins with lanyards too, but wish there was a good way to secure my hood, as the '70 Charger hood can be opened from the outside. Those hood pins you linked seem to have a terrible review rating, the nuts strip, the keys break off, etc. I would avoid that item but I like the idea. I...
I loved AFX slot cars as a kid, and still do as an adult. I drafted a track layout back in my 20's that had the exact same number of outside curves for each lane, so that racing would be completely fair...each person would have the same number of turns to lean into the guardrails, and same...
I had mine painted black way back in the day too, because it was affordable. Someday I hope to be able to pull the motor and do the engine bay in body color...but my body man said that would be about an extra $5K (CAD).
There's so much wrong with this car if you look close enough. The body line near the bottom of the front of the door doesn't match the fender bottom body line. Since the bumper and fender aren't matching, maybe it's a wrong fender/bumper combo--or simply really bad, sloppy bodywork. The gap at...
Let's add that a proper cheeseburger must have the cheese cooking and melting ON the burger WHILE it's barbecuing...and not simply slapped on top after it's done!
There was an interesting YouTube video weighing in on the "Wagyu vs other beef" burger question. Here's my takeaway, but I can't afford Wagyu so YMMV. Search it up.
Wagyu beef has by far more marbling (fat) than other beef, it's actually meant to be for steak, not burgers. Maybe almost 1/3 to...
Wow, there's a lotta love for the Torino Cobra. Someone mentioned the Holden Torana, that's another top-5 on my list, though I'll never own one up here in Canada. That car just seems to have beautiful but simple lines and perfectly muscular proportions. Honorable mention! It's one of the first...
I own my favorite off-brand muscle car, too.
If you were REALLY going to force one on me, I think I could do with a 1970 Torino Cobra with a 429. I wouldn't put up much of a fuss.
I also dig the Aussie 1974 Falcon XB GT, which ironically looks very similar to the Torino Cobra.
For my '70 Charger, only focusing on short-term goals:
1. Finish front-end; install offset UCA bushings and bump stops.
2. Finish front brakes; install new rotors & bearings, pads, caliper pins.
3. Get car running for the first time in over a decade.
4. Install new carpets and sound deadener...
