I'm surprised no one has contacted you as well. When I was searching there were times where guys had convertible seats for sale here, but their frames were always different than what I needed. I also learned that 64 Plymouth converts and 64 Dodge converts took different rear seats.
I know that...
I'm been off the site more than I've been on lately so I'm just now seeing this post.
I was very fortunate to find 'museum quality' rear seats for my 64 Polara convertible earlier this year. I had to drive from MD to TN to get them, but was well worth it IMHO. I had been looking at Carlisle and...
I'm posting this today for 2 reasons. The first is to publicly thank two B -Bodies members here who helped me score [in near museum piece condition] rear seats for my 1964 Dodge Polara convertible last weekend. The second reason for my post is to maybe give others restoring these cars some hope...
I'm in Maryland, and I'm interested in a rear seat that's for sale for my 64 Polara located about 40 minutes north of Knoxville, Tennessee. Are there any TN members here who live in that area? If so and you're willing to help please PM me. Thanks!
Steve
Very Cool!!!! Thanks a lot for posting this. I didn't know that my [base] 64 Polara convertible cost more than then any of the hardtop Polara models. And I also didn't know that it was offered in grey paint. I don't think I've ever seen a Polara in grey.
I have those same braces on my '64 Polara convertible, but I've not had to touch them during the restoration of the car. I believe that they were spot welded to the quarter at the factory and I have the same type of undercoat over mine that you show in your pics. My guess is that any type of...
Looking great! there Doug. I've never seen that interior before but then again I don't see too many Canadian Polara convertibles either. And congrats on owning your car for 60 years!!
Sam - My OEM interior was pretty much toast so there's no comparison between the new SMS material and what I sent them. Maybe someone on the site here with an OEM interior still in their car can best respond to you. My car was originally a California car and the sun cooked the interior and the...
Believe me, I tried to use Legendary for the very reasons you mentioned. My Polara isn't the 500 model though, and that's the only interior they reproduce. SMS was the only place in country I could find that does the correct base model Polara convertible upholstery & door panels.
Thought I'd post these pics as a way to offer some small ray of hope to anybody else waiting on interior items from SMS out in Oregon. The new upholstery arrived this past Wednesday from SMS for my 64 Dodge Polara convertible [H4R interior code]. I think they did a really nice job but I'm still...
It's a chilly/rainy day here today in Maryland so I was able to spend some time in the garage. The part from Allstate I believe is going to work but I'll need to put some run time on it to be sure. The length of the lower horizontal part of the rod that contacts the carb arm is about 1 inch...
Hi FastMark, and thanks for chiming in to the thread. VERY interesting info. and photo that you shared....thanks! I assumed that the OEM vent rods were never as bright as today's replacements, but I would not have guessed they were dull black in color. I'll report back on how the Allstate rod...
The folks at Allstate emailed me back and said that the $14.00 rod in the listing that Dave posted here is correct for my application [non emissions center carb]. So I placed an order with them this afternoon and we'll see if it works when it gets here. :)
I contacted Allstate this morning via their website contact page and inquired about them carrying the longer version of the OEM Holley vent rod. I couldn't attach any photos on their contact page but I offered to send them some via email if they request it. Hard to tell for sure from Dave69's...
