Zerogmopars786? I did notice one other commentor attempting to point out the issue, out of hundreds of others lapping it up. Clearly, he is not listening or not getting how serious of a safety threat that by-pass is to that stock wiring.

Went to see my Dermatologist with the wife this morning. She got a clean bill of skin health but I got 6 'spots' burned off. At least there hasn't been anymore cuttings in a few years now. This was Norma's first time to get a full body skin check!
I have used this rack (found in hobby and hardware stores) to fix many things. On a fix like that, I would consider drilling it out and glueing in a piece of hobby brass tube.
Update, just did another direct comparison. Flat hood spring is technically 18 and a half coils (note the orientation of the forward hook on the hinge), wire size is .225”. The A/G-Charger spring has 19 coils exactly with a wire size measuring .246”.
Both wire size measurements include paint...
