Wow!
A simple “refresh” and “taking care of some odds and ends” has led to 5 week project but I’m almost done. It all started when my starter gave out and had to tow it to the shop. I hate like hell having my car on the back of a rollback. Anyway, I’ve replaced the rear main seal. I found a...
The 5-speed (A-855) is no longer available...
Regarding servicing the existing 5-speeds already out there...
Don't know, U better talk to Jamie directly about that..
Just my $0.02...
This is a topic that I never thought of. Oil drainback. Look at the picture of the deck of an LA series:
Here is a 440 block.
All I can see in both blocks are coolant holes and head bolt holes. Does all the oil that makes it to the rocker gear drain back through the lifter valley?
I see...
I think the fuel pump may actually be the 66 correct, non-integrated windshield washer pump. How ever the zip tie and wire loosely securing the battery to the car is very classic Bubba. If you can’t afford to put a correct and inexpensive batter hold down clamp on the tray, where else did they...

When I dropped in a 383 into my 66 Belvedere with the poly teen, I left the original bars in and it did just fine. The car came with factory AC and PS.

A friend has a 69 Hemi with Hemi 18 spline A833 but with a 383/440 bellhousing with 10-1/2” clutch and mini starter. While I have a 66 Hemi with a 23 spline A833, large bellhousing, 11” clutch and direct drive starter. Lots of possible interchange here. The devil is in the small details...
TOO MANY CHOICES......using the statical sampling formula: 3 factorial......or 3x2x1 combination taken one wire at a time.....guessing which will be correct.......to see if it starts and passes the "smoke test".........experts????........
BOB RENTON
Working on a 66 coronet, originally a 318 car, now it has a B-Block installed. The torsion bars measure .885" on D/S and P/S. The adjusters are backed off to the point they are just making contact, and there's no weight on front end. My question is, can anyone offer a good starting point for...
First and foremost, sorry to hear of your family illness. My sincere thoughts and prayers for you and your family. Will you be taking the engine to R.I. ?
