I would think as an experienced electrician you would recognize the critical importance of circuit protection in any circuit design, including automotive applications, and just how this “shunt wire” by-pass, fusible link or not, defeats the original circuit protection for the stock wiring, makes...
Sorry pal, I haven't said much, hate to spoil your thought, I am an electrican by trade, I probably forgot more than you will ever know. Furthermore, You tube is a good tool, is great for someone that is learning.
Bill, no the shafts are identical except for length. Now I haven’t counted splines but nothing struck me as different. In my case it wouldn’t matter as I have a coupler body from both shafts.
It seems like all the 67 (including my 67 GTX) and up couplers lose the waist between the coupler and...
Isn't the spline size different between PS and MS ?
And Ive never seen a plastic disc inside any coupler Ive ever taken apart
ps, But I think the coupler body is unique to 1966 AND OLDER ?
As I think its the 1967 and later take the newer style body most commonly seen ?
I have one on my 65 Belvedere with a Wilwood master to match their 13" 6 piston brakes. Also have the Mustang rear disc setup from Dr Diff. NO problem stopping! I did have a issue with the pedal not comming back enough but, it will with my toe pulling the pedal. I will fix that issue next spring...
The funny thing is in 1979 I ordered all the AG parts brand new one piece at a time. (as I could afford). Took my flat Satellite hood off one night and cut it out in my backyard and never changed hood springs because I had no idea I needed to. That car/hood is in Indy with the original I assume...
Brother, you just sold a Helwig!
Now if there were only a universal dust shield, or something that would work with light modification. It's just a thin stamping!
Wagon has 7 leaves and different shackles, passenger car has 6 (unless they are SS which would be 6 on one side, 8 on the other).
I've never measured mine, but the top 2 are wagon, bottom 2 SS.
62 b-body would be the same as 2nd gen a-body.
I am looking for the original 440 engine for my 71 Charger R/T. I would be very Grateful if you could please have a look at your 440 if it is not original to your car. The last three serial number digits were cold chiseled off the block. All that remains along the oil pan rail is A1 139 - - -...
I wanted to install a 250 gallon tank by the house after our renovation but the code said it has to be so many feet from the house. Well that would have put it in the woods. But, now here is the crazy part, I can stick a 100 gallon tank by the house and attach as many 100 gallon tanks next that...
I’m getting around to swapping in power steering on my 66 Satellite. I bought a power steering 1966 steering shaft and coupler to swap in, and a coupler rebuild kit from Steer & Gear. Both shafts (original manual and purchased PS) have the same type coupler with the same internals, and I’m...
