I've got to hand it to you Larry, you truly are a mad scientist.
Oh and in a further back post someone asked you about the outside color...I'm partial to the burnt orange.
I have the original grille, bezels and center piece off my 67. There are no damaged pieces here, all nice and straight.
Located near Green Bay Wisconsin. Will ship, but at buyer's expense. I can take better pictures if necessary, these are just what I had floating around from my old build...
Sorry, I missed this post, didn't get notified. Let me know what you have. I'm looking for a Magnum 318 with 5 speed manual trans for a jeep project, 5.7 or other G3 Hemi rebuildable core, ...maybe other stuff, let me know what you have.
I have a re-buildable 1977 360.
Its torn apart but looks in good shape and not been previously rebuilt.
Comes with block, heads, crank, rods & pistons, oil pan, timing cover with brackets.
Also comes with a cast 4bbl manifold.
Asking $150 OBO Located just east of Green Bay Wisconsin...
The hardest part if you have a wiring harness to start with, is finding a wiring diagram. I haven't looked for a while, but I failed to find one 8 years ago when I started my project. There are really only about 4-5 wires needed to run the engine, the rest run to sensors on the engine or other...
All very good points and answers what I was wondering about. I like playing with engines, so myself, I probably would find a long block and rebuild with some upgrades if I was doing it. But I completely agree the reliability of a freshly built by professionals engine with a warranty and good...
I disagree, unless you aren't willing to do some research and work. These engines bolt in fairly easy and are not that hard to find inexpensive these days. The most expensive part is the wiring harness, and if you want to do it yourself, you can.
The parts are CHEAP at the dealer. The structural dust cover off of a 2004/5 Ram 2500 and a NV4500 manual transmission truck will work. The dust shield and structual cover cost me I think maybe $40 over the counter.

There are a number of issues that get touted with these engines, but the vast majority are reliable. My Ram has 220k on it and runs like a top. Though 05-08 did have some valve seat failures due to an issue in tolerating with the pressed in seats. There are also some issues out there with...
Let me ask you a question Johnny. How much actual cost difference to you does the difference from 392 to 426 mean? Are you building your own block or? Why not a 440 CI option? You can get low mile pull out 392 chryco engines for $5-7k with ecm's and harness. They come with forged crank...
Well that sort of depends on what people want I guess. If I was to price it out:
360 by itself with original heads and all original parts (minus timing set, cam which are gone) - $350 obo
whole package with magnum heads, extra oil pan, magnum timing cover/brackets - $450
Just magnum parts by...
