Great, I will buy a relay and wire off the BLU(02). I see now why you wouldn't want to wire it from the compressor wire due to the cycling. Thanks for the help, I appreciate it!

Ah, OK, so I should wire it before that switch, that would be the BLU(02), or would BLU(04) also work? I am going to have to get under the dash to find it, that's going to be a pain!

There were only two wiring diagrams, none had a cycling switch, see below. Not sure which one I have but I bought it about three years ago.

It has wires and servo's. What do you mean before the cycling switch? Is that on the compressor itself, it only has one wire going to it.

Thanks guys! The directions for the solenoid says to use a 12g wire, I have to check to see what the wire that controls the compressor is. I may have to use a relay. I'm thinking it may blow a fuse, not sure.

Yes, A/C comes on when I flip the switch on the fan, thats when the idle goes down.

I will have to check, but I think it is fast idle, I got it from holly, too expensive but I didn't feel like messing around changing a bracket.

Thats what I was thinking, I would have to press the gas a little for it to pop out, hopefully it holds. The clutch will cycle when I turn the air on.

1969 RR 383 with classic auto air. I bought an idler solenoid because when I turn my air conditioner on, the idle goes down. Do I wire this to the wire going to the compressor? It says to wire it to a switched 12v but I only want it to go on when the air is on? Thanks!

Here are some pics, the first one is how far the fan is away from the condenser. The other ones are of the whole system.

I'll get some pics tomorrow, there is more than a 3/4" from the rad. From what I was reading, as long as I have a shroud it would be OK because it will funnel the air. I'll have to leave the fan where it is if its going to stay half to three quarters in the shroud.

Its close to the rad, could be better but if I put a spacer on the fan it will be to far into the shroud. The cooling is not bad, when the air is on I run 205 - 210, that was in traffic but I had mostly green lights....lol
