Most noise from the compressor is from the intake. Plumbing the intake to a fresh air supply outside the room significantly reduces the noise and keeps the tank air from being contaminated by what's in the shop air. If the air is to be used for painting this is critical.
Based on the pictures provided - there are old and or worn out suspension parts along with suspension parts having crusty surfaces. Perhaps the brake pulling problem is from worn out suspension parts and other related mechanical items...........

Great cam choice, put a six pak & stealth heads on top of it. Over-camming a stoker engine is very popular these days. Big hp numbers on the big rpm end don't mean squat when the tires ares spinning and brand x runs away.

Remember that hemi guy Tom Hoover? Well back in the day he used to give seminars...he always spoke of how well a hemi would run on a six pak due to fuel distribution etc vs the 8bbl. Faster than the 8bbl according to Mr Hoover.
