I see these EFI kits available but know little about what to expect from them.
Using my 66 Charger as an example what would the compatibility be and what would be the beneifit?
The car is a 523 stroker with a healthy roller cam, 10.3:1 compression, hipo exhaust manifolds (thinking of...
My 66 Charger has a bad water leak under the dash and I see water drops on the front of the center console. I am assuming it needs wiper post seals but want to know if anyone has found any other water leak area that I may need to address. I recently had a Classic A/C system added to the car and...
I have recently installed the Mopar Performance black and aluminum valve covers on my 440 and they are leaking oil. The shop has asked me to provide the metal reinforced rubber gaskets but I have been reading many contridictory things about what gaskets work and which don't for these covers...
I have installed the original radio that is converted to AM/FM and auxillary port for Ipod, MP3 player. This also has 4 speakers and sub-woofer in trunk.
I know nothing about these players or how to down load music to them. I assume they come with software to do this through computer but...
EDIT:
Sorry, the sites posting format pushed the chart for the gear ratios togather so they are not directly under the headings and it is harder to read.
I don’t understand why everybody is so excited about the 5 speed transmission regardless of what brand? If you want to have a car that does...
My 1966 Charger has the craziest thing I have ever seen for the wiper travel.
They park high (above the windshield lower chrome) about 3" on the angled high side but only travel to about 9" from the drivers side of the windshield.
Obviously re-clocking the wiper arm on the shaft will do...
I see mention of someone that has the listing of our old cars that were sold into Canada and the dealers that sold them.
Anyone have the contact info?
I have a car that was probably sold by and seviced by Grapertine Brother in Nov. of 66 per the Warranty Policy booklet. The spelling may not...
CORRECTION, THIS IS A OWNERS SEVICE CERTIFICATE and WARRANTY POLICY BOOKLET
I recently purchased a 1966 Charger that is a mostly original un-molested car.
It has the original owners manual in it.
I know it is the original because Chrysler sticker with the V.I.N. on it.
I was surprised...
My shop guy is having trouble locating these lug studs for this. He says the lug stud knurl size is 673 measured on the old ones may be slightly larger new.
Does anyone know where to locate these in left hand thread?
Believe they are different 8 3/4 to Dana.
I have a question here that I will get to in a minute.
The top plates are different from different years. Not only the difference between auto and 4 speed but from year to year.
To the best of my knowledge/memory t goes like this:
The 1966/67 in the Charger uses a flat brushed aluminum but...
I checked on there web site but they don't show a H.D. application only Monroe-matic plus or a self load adjusting or air shock.
Do they no longer make just a plain H.D. shock?
My 66 Charger tach is not working.
I was checking the EL unit behind the glove box and got on the tach sending unit by mistake and put 12 volts to it. Have I fried it? The tach was NOT working prior to this but just saying. What is the proper way to check why the tach is not working? I have...
I know the K frames are the same but are the actual motor mount brackets the same or different?
If different are factory new ones available or only the Schumacker units?
Thanks,
Darryl
I have been away from the Chevy numbers/crowd/game for many years and had never heard of this until today. It sounds like the guy posting in this thread speaking of the factory "grind outs" was there in the day.
If it happened at GM I would suspect it happened at Chrysler and Ford as well...
This is a copy and paste from another site that Doug Hammer posted a great link that you can use to answer a lot of your questions about your old Dodge regarding what was standard, optional, etc.

The 75 and up books may come later. Adding...
I believe this is a 1969 383/440 bellhousing but don't have a 69 parts book to confirm. Can anyone check it for me and tell me what years and engines it fits?
Thanks,
Darryl
I direct you to these sites as I plan to be quite busy in the next 6 months to a year and will not have the time I have had to visit this site and answer questions as I have in the past.
Here is a link to a GREAT web site that will answer many questions regarding what was avaialable...
Does any one know what size splindle nut is used on these old cars? Is it the same size across the board or does it vary with different makes and models?
I am specifically interested in intermediate and pony car models such as Mopar B & E bodies, GM Chevelle, GTO, Cutlass, Skylark, Camaro...
