Your hood is not a N96 Air Grabber hood, it does not have the sheet metal cut outs under your mesh inserts to allow fresh air to pass thru the hood to your duct work.
There is a simplier way to remove aluminum anodizing from head light bezels, wheel opening moldings and grilles without sanding prior to polishing. Spray a heavy coat of "Easy off" oven cleaner on the parts and let sit for about 30 minutes. Then put on your rubber gloves and gently rub surfaces...

I am looking for the stamped sheet metal plate that is mounted to the underside of a 69 GTX, RR or Satellite hood. This plate is approx. 2”x 3” and will rest against the hood height adjustment bolt/pad when the hood is closed. If anyone has an extra one in nice condition please let me know...
Yes both fenders has burrs on the backside, and I would have to agree with 69HEMICORONET/TCONV (man that is a long username lol).
