This will affect caster the most but only slightly, and make it a pain to make UCA alignment adjustments, I also would not be timid in spreading the UCA slightly if need be to get the job done, and make removing and replacing them in the future more straight forward. Between the OEM tolerances...

I had mine blasted locally and painted them with this the same evening I picked them up. You don't want any flash rust on there. This stuff goes a long way I just kept painting them probably put on 4 coats at least.

You don't really need an oil cooler unless you are racing (not drag racing) or towing/hauling heavy loads. My race car will run 180 on the coolant all day long but oil temps get high without a direct oil cooler. ...... But I cannot fathom a reason why you want to stop it from functioning yet...
