    Estimated 1/4 mile - 71 Roadrunner 340 4 speed

Ideally you want to be in 4th at your max rpm. That means you used all of your mechanical advantage. But of course that means a gear change.

who's the most beautiful actress in her prime?

I have another off-the-radar consideration...Blythe Danner. She still looked pretty for her age in the Meet The Fockers movies, but I happened to watch some really old flick called Futureworld--a sequel to Westworld--and thought I recognized the pretty blonde woman. I couldn't believe it was the...

    Estimated 1/4 mile - 71 Roadrunner 340 4 speed

Well, i know i was in 3rd because of the dragy picture and I see the drop in acceleration when I shifted, and I hear it. If I stayed in 2nd at 26.6 inch tires (what I have), I'd be at 7600rpm. I've had the engine there once before with no load on accident when I missed a shift once but I don't...

What's it Worth In Phoenix; 1970 Coronet F8

The customer is always right, and we all have different deal breakers and must haves. It's absolutely cheaper in the end to buy exactly what you want, without compromising. I've finally done it. Problem is I didn't get the chance to buy the exact car until I was 69 years old, and that was a...

    Most significant suspension upgrades, thoughts?

I'm definitely liking the guys at Firm Feel, from what little I talked to them they seem like great guys. After a short discussion he knocked my list down to 3 items, how often does a business recommend buying less? I believe I'm going to take his suggestion, rear leaves, Bilstein shocks and a 1...

I wonder if that's where the expression "slower than molasses in January" came from? :)

It’s been so long since I had 3.55s in mine I can’t remember what I was doing. I don’t remember going through in 3rd though. Sorry, I’m probably not helping.

What did you do today....other than work on your car!?

Completed my 4 post lifts, now back to working on 68 dart. Moved the ram to its new quarters for now till I finish the booth. Would have rather bought a car with the cost of the lifts but it was a good decision for space savings.

    Wheel Wednesday

I've seen those sold at automotive big box stores here in Canada. The placement of the valve stem is...logical.

    Estimated 1/4 mile - 71 Roadrunner 340 4 speed

To further this, I shifted around 50mph which would be 5500rpm ish, which seems short for what I usually shift at, but also that run was in August so I might not have shifted at 6500rpm for reasons I don't know

1970 bumper seal brackets- what is the proper name

It looks like just a flat piece of metal with a curve. If this isn't going to be a show car, couldn't a rectangle of steel be bent around a pipe or something and have a few holes drilled?
