The Burger King I worked at closed at 2:00 AM. We'd get people leaving the bar with drunk munchies.
The routine was to let the stockpile of burgers thin out toward the end of the night to minimize waste. There were guidelines as to how long we could keep food products waiting for customers. The...
My wife and I worked in two pubs in London - 3 months total selling drinks and food. Wife was on kitchen duties and serving until later in the shift when she helped behind the bars.
I was fulltime pulling pints and slowly getting rid of the over-spill from the two dopey Aussie girls who wasted...
Bag boy/ice cream stocker at Tops Supermarket in Weaverville CA. That was back in the day when we actually bagged the groceries in paper sacks and took them out to your car.
Fry cook at Barton’s Freezette in Knights Landing CA

Organized a get together at our frequently visited watering hole in Manchester, Michigan for my best friend who just passed early Monday morning. RIP Keith Bowles.
In 1982-83, I worked at a Burger King in the Sacramento area.
It was my first payroll job, I was in High School. It helped me earn enough money to buy my first car, a 69 Dart. I met my first "woman" there too.
I gave her the Whopper. She gave me VD.
(Not true about the VD)
There are countless...
Seems like it could be a nice competitor to the Maverick if priced right. I wish it was an option when I shopped for mine, I miss the original Rampage and the idea of a modern 2.2 turbo seems cool. It can bookend since I have the original 2.2 Turbo already.
Man I spent half of today on webinars to better use LinkedIn and AI to get a job, interesting but at the same time BLEH
I rented one of the cars to a small movie production and a prop broke and luckily the shooting location was some kind of shop, so in a rush I volunteered to fix it. But...
Damn, as a card carrying Cali lib I had no idea, but now that I know….. I will still use a crosswalk whenever possible! Around here just crossing legally is risky, there are some places I avoid walking because of close calls.
The crosswalk at the local Cars n Coffee has been broken for a while...
I’m looking for a quarter window front up-stop for a 1969 b body. Not sure of what of years fit. Yes I realize I can fabricate one but I would like to find an original if I can.
I was gonna order some stuff from them about a year ago, tried calling them several times, no answer so it says in there website to go thru put the part #s prices etc. in an email and they would get back to me the next business day, well I did and wasted my time, and that's a sure way to get my...
My 2022 Maverick has a spare, but I don’t think it’s full size. It lives under the truck so I haven’t crawled under to look. Still better than my 2018 Camaro or 2019 Challenger which did not have spares. I started to get a spare tire kit together for the Challenger but ended up selling it.
Testing fitment with a 1" spacer -
There's about half an inch of space on the outside, in the rear -
And some space between the leaf spring clamp and the spot where the tire will be -
So, a 1" spacer or a 3/4" spacer (if made) will work, but there is a fly in the ointment. The factory...
We just finished watching Giant, with Rock Hudson and Elizabeth Taylor. Very long movie but good. It really captures the wind and flatness of west Texas.
