I froze a 440 like that in my race car about -35.. the waterpump expanded so much it rubbed the balancer. Popped 1 blockheater. Ripped the impeller of the shaft. Still good! Diggin out the fine brine are we?? :drinks:

Imo, it kinda depends how fresh or tired it is. Fresh? 10-30 or 10-40. Tired? 20-50 Pick an oil with added zinc, if you have a fresh flat tappet cam Tired, well broke-in old cam might not need the zinc.

Good luck with your procedure. Praying it all goes well. I also had a turp in November 2020. It helped me lots. No scar tissue but not all rose’s either.
