Ok. Finally got the pics on my computer and removed the last part of the VIN on the dash and fender tag since for a friend. This is all that was shared with me. No idea about build sheet or anything else. Very interesting!!! Thanks again everyone!
So there is a fender tag in bad shape but readable. I don’t have any more than that but again it’s for a friend and not sure how much he’s willing to spend based on condition.
EDIT: I added pics a few posts down of fender tag and vin plate.
Hey all! A friend of mine asked if I knew the value of this car in its current condition. The vin and fender tag are intact but in case anyone here is trying to sell, I’m leaving out those pics. The vin starts with XX. I mainly a road runner guy so I wanted thoughts on value in current...
You know, I just thought of something and if this is it, I'm going to crawl in a hole. :) I want to make sure that the helper bleeding my brakes did not fill the MC to the top. I know it's supposed to be 1/4 of an inch lower. Going to check that in a few minutes.
Ok. I'll check that. For years I did the just tight/loose enough I was taught as mechanic's helper in 1978 maybe? But I recently found this video that seems to be interesting and I've done this:
I got this combo:
1966-70 Mopar B-Body Factory Bendix Trapezoid Booster with Firewall Mounting Plate Master Cylinder and Push Rod Assembly
and this distribution block to replace the drum drum version.
1969-70 Mopar B-Body Disc Brake Distribution Block, Each
Thanks!
So broke down and did 11x3 drum to 11.75 conversion using all OEM-ish or reman parts. 73 a body knuckle, dr diff slider brackets, reman slider calipers, new hoses, correct disc drum proportioning value, larger bendix like power booster and cylinder from inline tube.
Once I did everything it did...
Just jumping into the conversation. After five years of owning my current 70 RR, I didn't realize that no one made 70 RR fenders as well until I was trying to install some new fender splash shields a month ago. I think I've gotten one NOS or NORS backup of turn signal switches, orange box...
Bilstein four years ago. I rebuilt the front end as well at the time and put in Hemi spec torsion bars I got from Classic. Reman power stock steering pump as well. It was all great for cruising and felt like a really good upgrade to stock. But the recent Hellwig sway bar has made it more...
Update: Shakedown issues yesterday but today out on the road and it stops MUCH better than front drums. It literally feels like a barely touch brake older 80s luxury car. Not like modern discs but how I remember cars of that era. Very much worth the effort.
What I’m not too thrilled about is...
Does anyone have a decent picture of what the top left bolt of the splash shield bolts into? I circled it in red in this pic. My splash shield is missing this and I have a new shield on order. I looked in 70 fsm and no luck. Any help is welcome.
