    The lean burn system was around for about 13 years. The Thermo guard system is still in use today. The name has slightly changed but the idea stays the same. It works not only in the warm times but also in the cold which also drains the battery power.

    Mine started out at Cantrell & Guy in Dayton, Ohio. They went bankrupt & the car sat until the courts dealt with it. Mine eventually was sold brand new at Bob Ross Buick in 1981.

    Known issues with 1979 Cordoba?

    Another failure prone item is the windshield wiper assembly. There is a plastic part that fails preventing the wipers from working.
