For indoor( garage ) storage I use painters plastic . It’s super light, allows air movement so it doesn’t build up humidity.
Easy on and off. Just label the top with a marker or whatever so the same side goes to the car each time you remove it.
We have a big show and shine Friday night, Memorial Day weekend. Hundreds of cars attend. A group of us Mopar guys all park in the same place and we draw quite a crowd. I don't have time to walk around and look at cars. Too busy visiting with the other guys and the spectators. Right @Scott...
Not in a Mopar, but I built one for a GTO I had awhile back. They are pretty tough if built right. I used a Yank 3500 converter.
It held up well with 500 HP. Guy I sold it to is still out terrorizing Idaho with it.
Turns out I counted the number of bolts holding the bellhousing correctly but failed to remove the one behind the starter. So bellhousing is out and clutch looks relatively new and free of oil which is surprising since the entire length of the input had oil on it. But I’m considering just...
I’ve tackled the minitub project all by myself. That was a LOT of work, but I was in and out of it in one off-season. The rollbar I had a friend do the bending off of my templates. I did all the fitting, fish mouth cutting, install and welding myself. So I’m not completely without experience...
It's all politics, at every show. People are kiddin' themselves, if they think otherwise. I've watched many loaded ballot boxes.....
In the end, this **** cracks me up. I rarely go to a show anymore.......boring.
Quite frankly, if you are the type to complain about who won what and for what reason, you will almost never be happy participating in judged car shows.
Which type of car?
No Mopar muscle car factory floor shifters ever came with cables - they all had mechanical linkage.
If you have an aftermarket shifter I would think Summit or Jegs should be able to get them.
Now later models (1980's and up) FWD cars had cables.
Is that what you are...
A few years ago at our Mopar Maxx event, we had a small car show and no divisions for the late model cars. A big group of new Challengers and Chargers showed up and cleaned house, beating out some nice older Mopars including A 12 cars and a big block Barracuda convertible. I overheard the group...
We have one that has temper tantrums as well. The people that vote in the peoples choice shows get tired of the same guy winning all the time. I have been beat out by a car like mine but half the quality just because a large group of his friends showed up and voted for his car. Even the show...
You get all types. The Corvette guys are the worst !
This year the Vettes are being displayed in the room where many vendors are located. Regulars will know the room I refer to, it’s where the High School rides feature was last year, and the big A12 extravaganza a few years before that.
So...
