I feel your pain. I have 17K in parts sitting on the shelf to upgrade a 2K car. Which will never be worth what I have in it. But I don't care and it will be soooooo cool when it's done.

I'm getting close to switching to a roller cam in the big block!

I've been thinking of how the added spring pressure and roller camshaft would place additional demands of the rocker arms and shafts. I currently have these: This is a 1.6 ratio set from Mancini Racing. I was told they were an off label set made by Harland Sharp. They are aluminum and where...

Swapping a Borgeson steering box in a 1970 Charger

Mine has developed an intermittent low speed belt squeal also. I have had mine installed since 2016, so at first I figured the belt must be wearing out. Changed the belt, but still does it intermittently.

    Borgeson Update

It just isn't in my nature to default to the most expensive choice....nor is it to accept the cheapest one. The 440 Source has some quality stuff but I also see some unbelievably cheap prices on roller lifters, rocker arm sets and starters. I can't help but think they are or questionable quality...

Swapping a Borgeson steering box in a 1970 Charger

Ok, getting cold outside so time to take the steering apart. Can I just remove the flare adapter and work on or do I need to remove the box from the car and grind inside the inlet in the box?

At what point did NEW lifters become junk out of the box and were.......

No you don't need adj rockers arms. You can use adj push rods. Isky cams make a large range. Price difference between the prods & adj rockers might be close, but you will still need p'rods. Keep the lash to 0.006-8" hot & you will have very little noise, plus these benefits: - lifters cannot...

    one wheel burnouts.....

The A body guys know that the One Wheel Peel is really hard on their weak 7 1/4" differentials. Ever look inside one of those? The side gears are really small. Imagine those spinning at insane rpms meshing while one wheel spins and the other sits.

Offseason Thread - Project 68 Charger Race Car

Shelving paint and body for some metal work, first up is the roll cage. Going with a 10pt and an 8.50 cert. swing door bars. I find approaching big projects with three focus’s to always lean on are solid foundational thoughts. For the cage I wanted safety, premium visibility for racing and...
